I did like RL. Thought he was going to be very fantasy relevant but in floating him on bigger names nobody really liked him that much so figured to hold on to him until he broke out. Scouts liked him despite the numbers and he started breaking out in AFL.

 

I don’t really like him a lot though after seeing him play in the Futures Game in Cleveland. I was front row and when he came up with game on the line he was visibility nervous as s*** and talking to his bat, pleading. As a human you can totally get it but I’ll take the Kobe alpha male attitude for my sports superstar

Of course in person scouting isn’t the best. I remember going down to Jays games in Texas few years back and deciding to buy Nomar Mazara shares because he looked big and strong

Depending on roster constraints I'd probably do that trade, taking the Gallen package and Lynch.

In fairness, the 1st piece was Luis Robert. If he had viewed Lewis as a legit Top 20 asset like I did we could’ve added from there but as I didn’t have any other player like that I’d offer, we left it at that

Seems like a lot but I guess it's fair. Prospects like Groshans and Gilbert really shrink into nothing in comparison to an asset like Tatis. Franco + J.Rod is a huge package but we have seen several slam dunk #1 super prospects flop or fizzle in recent years.

 

Tatis is not Mike Trout though so there is still a lot of risk in doing that deal. There is a realistic chance that Franco is better than Tatis in two years.

Hard no, especially with BBDL moving to a true dynasty as opposed to a cutdown league. I'm very high on J-Rod despite his DWL struggle (he had a wrist injury in August)

Those 3 bats 100% with huge prospect capital vs a guy with not a very long track record of being this good and could have TJ tomorrow and only give you stats every 5 days.. Cole beat his butt H2H in playoffs last year.. Not saying I don't like Beiber, but that is a nice haul and you could always flip em..

I keep trying to talk myself into offering Wander Franco for Bieber in... a league. Bieber's numbers are just silly in a K/BB league and he basically carries a pitching staff if you're careful about who else you're running out there.

Tork is still the industry consensus 1-1. Even if you like Martin more on fit I think you have to take Tork and trade him if you desire, his value is simply greater. Or trade down to 1-2 and get an extra asset for the 1-1 if that's on the table.

Danger concurs with this. I have seen a number of drafts where Martin is not going #2. However in my 7 leagues I have never seen Tork not go first.
