Need starters to go more than 5.2 innings consistantly. Jays still have probably the most innings pitched by the pen in all of baseball. A good pen is one that doesn't pitch 4+ innings every night

 

So true John , the BP has been used and abused but the last time I said this I got slaughtered by guys saying we had an 8 man pen and were not overusing them

The Jays defence is playing with a lot of intensity. Lawrie does it automatically, Encarnacion tonight, Cabrera tonight, and Bautista/Pillar both ran hard after another crucial play earlier in the game. They are playing with a lot of heart lately.

Why not pinch hit Lind for Pillar?

 

I don't get that non-move either. Gose is the better defender and could just go in as the pinch runner if Lind or even Francisco got on base and then played a better CF in the 9th.

 

Seems like that should have been a automatic move.

Cause he came to camp out of shape . Is horrible behind the plate . Had Talent and I'm sure if he was in shape still has the talent but he got run out of Tampa and LA for the same reasons I don't like him . He is lazy, hard to like a guy who walks to first on anything he thinks isn't a sure hit
