I started watching with my dad the year they won the WS in 1992, about the same time I started playing softball. Pretty sure he was near the end of his career. I need to Google that. Anyway, I don't think he ever threw that fast, even young. He must have converted from a more traditional pitcher style, like Loup has. No one could possibly start like that.
