Governator Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 WOW. MIggy just hits a 3 run HR in the 9th......3-1 Tigers Just watched this online... amazing. Davis was called out stealing 2B originally, overturned by the challenge, walks Hunter and then Cabrera mashes. Amazing.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Yankee's getting killed. Boston down 5-2. Baltimore up by 1 with Davis on second with none out in the 9th. Detroit challenged as Davis was called out on the steal and was over turned. Orioles losing 4-1! Could be a nice swing today
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Nice two wins. Now it's time for the bad pitchers the next two days. Yeah it's a huge deal to win the first game off the pitcher who you struggle against, knowing you're up against their crap ones the next two games. Bring it on!
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 LOL Mets Yankees only in the 6th, 3 hours in.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Jays now 3rd in the majors in runs scored, and 2nd in home runs The offense is killer (Though it's worth noting that the Tigers have played 5-6 fewer games than most teams)
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Nice W boys, well done Casey, I scoop a W hld and save this game. Hah.. You got a couple of earned runs shaved off, deservedly so.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Believe we didn't win twenty games till may 23rd if I counted right!
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Back to square one for this team, get used to it, it'll be back and forth to .500. It would be nice if they went up 3-4 games over to tease us at least.

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Wow a closer who doesn't walk in half of the ballpark! Welcome back Casey. Santos will never be able to hold a candle to you <3
theblujay Verified Member Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 I would love it if we could get some separation from .500 (in the good direction).

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 I was talking about the Jays lol LOL should have realized. Yeah McGowan and Happ. And Cleveland actually has a couple decent ones we're up against Oh well, need the offense to keep producing.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Same thing keeps happening to Dickey in the 6th/7th inning and Gibbons keeps giving him a long leash, sounds like insanity to me.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 With these Indians and the pitching-starved Rangers(excluding Darvish), we have a good chance.
theblujay Verified Member Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 If Happ sucks again it better be his last start and stroman better start the next one.

Yeah McGowan and Happ. And Cleveland actually has a couple decent ones we're up against Oh well, need the offense to keep producing. I haven't seen too much of Salazar but from what I have it seems like he's going to develop into a really good pitcher. Kluber isn't a bad pitcher either. That being said, the O can bail them out of any game, so hopefully it does the next two games.
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 If Happ sucks again it better be his last start and stroman better start the next one. Agree completely. Stroman can't be any worse than Happ, can he? Just give him a shot FFS. If he sucks then at least you gave one of your top prospects a look instead of throwing an equally as bad Happ out there with nothing really to gain except for a tiny and insignificant bit of trade value that probably won't come to fruition anyways.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Salazar has an ERA of 5.65 and 1.61 WHIP, and one step towards AAA with Bauer pitching well. And Indians defense isn't very good, with the team posting the most errors in the AL, led by Yan Gomes (9, way too many for a catcher, with 4 passed balls, worst in the AL.. and we should know, considering what we had to put with in JPA. Perhaps he and Santana should switch positions..)

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Remember how much people hated the Gomes and Aviles/Rogers deal? Gomes has continued to hit.. but the Indians are sooner or later going to have to move him off C.. 9 errors for a catcher is unacceptable for a MLB catcher, and he's 5th in giving up SBs.

It's funny how a bad month or so from a highly touted young pitcher is getting people off the bandwagon. He has 44 strikeouts in 36 innings and is 24. The rest will follow soon IMO.
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Jays should pick him up if that happens. He's from Dominican! I don't think he's going to AAA anytime soon. No offense to some people, but anyone citing his ERA and WHIP probably haven't seen him actually pitch any games this year.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Not blaming Gibbons, but he needs to take out Francisco for Tolleson in the 7th inning with a 4-run lead, doesn't he? Don't get me wrong, Tolleson isn't a great defender, but Lawrie @ 3B and Tolleson @ 2B is better than Francisco @ 3B. I know it doesn't feel this way, but the team is actually 7-3 in its last 10...I know it surprised me to find out.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Terrible crowd tonight. Solid 10k at most, everyone drunk and sedated. Sat in the TD Club, solid view for the 200's. Dickey looked good. Loup has been pretty bad this year. So, yeah. Nothing new here.

I would have hated to see what this team would be like if AA had gone out and got some good players. No thanks... .500 is a great place to be.

I'll never complain about bad crowds if im able to get great seats for cheap
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
