Jays: McGowan in his last two starts, allowed three earned runs on six hits in 13 innings. He got his second win in Sunday's 7-2 victory at Pittsburgh, yielding a run on three hits in seven innings. Jose Bautista singled in the bottom of the seventh inning on Thursday night and has now reached base in all of Toronto's 35 games. It's the longest streak to start a season since Albert Pujols did it for 41 games in 2008. Bautista is also closing in on the Blue Jays' all-time record for consecutive games reaching base, which was set at 38 by Carlos Delgado in 1998. Juan Francisco is on an eight-game hitting streak. He has at least one hit in all but three of his 17 games this season and eight of his 19 hits have gone for extra bases (two doubles, one triple and five home runs). The Blue Jays have homered in eight consecutive games and in 15 of their past 16. They are coming off a game in which they hit a season-high five home runs vs. the Phillies and they currently lead the American League with 49 homers. Angelss: Richards has been all the Angels hoped for in his first full season in the rotation, holding opponents to a .184 average with 40 strikeouts over 38 innings. He got his first decision in four starts Saturday, surrendering three runs on nine hits while striking out nine in six innings of a 5-3 win over Texas. The Angels won seven of eight against the Blue Jays, including a three-game sweep in Toronto from Sept. 10-12. The Angels are hitting .315 with 31 runs and 22 extra-base hits in their last four games there. Mike Trout enters the road trip with just one hit in his last 16 at-bats, with his batting average dropping from .308 to .287 over his last five games. Trout has batted .219/.324/.469 in eight career games at Rogers Centre. Chappy Community Moderator Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Angels lineup looks pretty s***** overall. Jays need to get this to a 6 game win streak tonight.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 It will be a real treat for Toronto fans to see a generational talent like Trout this weekend. Kind of players parents should take there kids to see. But let's conveniently ignore stud and HOF Pujols >_>
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Probably because hes a good hitter Oh I thought he stopped being a good hitter like 5 years ago.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Hes kind of a douche though. Wtf no he's not? Good f***ing job Rogers, thank God I'm watching OHL playoffs over the best player in baseball and a first ballot Hall of Famer.
Brenner Verified Member Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Other than Trout, who are these guys playing OF for the Angels?
Spoonovic Verified Member Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Macgowen with two good starts in a row. The odds say he is due for a 3 IP 7 ER type of game. Going to need the bats and Redmond tonight.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Can't be helped, especially since we're in hockey country, and some of those players are NHL drafted, especially with Rogers having that big TV deal starting next season. Plus, Guelph is going for a championship tonight.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 PLEASE stop using MLB 14 The Show for simulation.. Lawrie's not even in the lineup tonight.
Spoonovic Verified Member Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Juan Francisco already at 1.0 WAR?!?!
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 juan francisco already at 1.0 war?!?! 72 pa 450 pa = 6,3 war
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Huge douche. And hes not 34. I could see your argument for the latter, but why do you see him as a huge douche? He's no A-Rod.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Juan Francisco already at 1.0 WAR?!?! Gotta keep rolling with him while he is hot.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 What a joke of a lineup the Angels have tonight. And regarding Ibanez, he's about to turn 42, and looks cooked. As for the rest of the lineup, it's not terribly impressive outside of Trout and Pujols, and maybe Kendrick.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 True.. but the PS4 version has loading issues according to Pastapadre. Otherwise, it's a great game.
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 The Orioles will sweep the Astros.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 man...good first pitch and it gets hit for a double
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Question, why are they are wearing red hats?
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Macgowen with two good starts in a row. The odds say he is due for a 3 IP 7 ER type of game. Going to need the bats and Redmond tonight. Hey you! Get off of my cloud! Go Dusty Go!
