10/10 would read again. You should post moar!!

This kid might die a slow death' date=' he might be a number one. Fact is, none of you seem to have the slightest clue as to what that's gonna be. What we do know is that he has a wipeout MLB ready curveball and that he needs to learn to repeat his delivery. He could just as easily be a front end pitcher. He's 21 years old FFS. [/quote']

So, in other words, all 21 yr olds with good arms should be gradeded as equivalents because we don't know their future with 100% certainty. #analysis

Probably be making more than you are now with the amount of time you spend roaming around here and all.

You know veteran scouts make like $65k right? Oh, but they get their meals paid for at the local Crab Shack. Sometimes. Totally worth it.

@benwag247

Smooth start for Aaron Sanchez in a scoreless first. Consistently popping 97 on the stadium gun.

Sanchez (26/37 strikes)

3 scoreless, 3K's, 5-1 GB-FB

Kid putting all together

it's okay Drabek picked up the pieces for him.

I wouldn't call it "putting it all together" just yet. He's not close to the bigs yet imo.

Actually I didn't know they were that poorly paid. I'm just sayin' that I don't think the price for Price is going to be as high as some people think. When teams are in the toilet and not drawing fans, it erases some of that contract value his extra year adds.

I'm just sayin that the kid has a wicked f***ing curveball that he can get outs with. I actually think it's much better than Stroman's. He has some time to learn to repeat his delivery and gain command of that fastball and I hear that the kid is very eager to learn and also very coachable. You get some young guys whose s*** goes straight to their heads and they get ccocky and don't want to listen to anyone. I think this kid has a good learning curve and an excellent chance to be a solid front end starter by the time he's 25. He has the tools and the movement on his fastball as well. Lets hope he a quick study and doesn't turn out to be another Romero. When you got a kid with 95 mph plus with movement on his fastball and that's not his out pitch? It's a good sign. I think he has better stuff than Marcus, but he's apparently lacking in maturity and composure, which kinda go hand in hand.

Look at Alvarez, we let him learn on the fly and now that he's learned a third pitch, he's lighting up the jr circuit. I woulda never let him go. But people were saying the same s*** about him all over the place and I was shaking my head in amazement at how easily people gave up on him. Sanchez has similar movement on his fastball and as soon as he learns a third pitch, he is going to be something to watch I think, just as Alvarez is now and will be for years to come.

Hendo always commanded his sinker. 1.7 bb/9 over his minor league career. If Sanchez demonstrated anything close to that level of control/command, he'd be a legitimate top prospect.

If you can't command your fastball, you can't do much.
