I think a lot of framing is just being quiet back there. Sudden, jerky movements are really bad for getting calls.

Well, halfway through my innings. Got 10 points on FD from Haren, but very little production from anyone else. I'm using JFaS's FDGC lineups, and things aren't looking very promising.

Yeah, I feel like JFaS needs to add in a new set of picks to his optimals that has Stanton blacklisted until he starts hitting balls. He's not having a great start offensively.

Playing streaks (hot or cold) is a pretty sabermetric big faux pas though.

 

Should just keep plugging Stanton in if the machine says so.

 

Actually if he continues to not get results his $ value on DK and FD will probably drop so his name will come up even more frequently.

Do you know of any studies examining streaks based on pitch-by-pitch data (for example, contact rate, etc during the streaks)? The sample size would still be very small, but it would take some of the luck out.
