Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 I'm having no problems with any websites besides this one. Everything working just fine. Just tried other vbulletin forums and I can get them too. Dunno. Yeah, remember we just changed servers a few days ago though. If your ISP hasn't properly updated the info or your computer or router hasn't for some reason ... hence the suggestions above.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 data Does this board work if you switch to wifi on your phone?
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 King try this on your computer if you're running chrome: Hit the 3 bars to the right hand side, and select settings Scroll down to advanced settings and hit that Uncheck the: "Predict actions to improve page load performance" checkbox Should look like: http://cdn.ghacks.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/google-chrome.png Give it a test and see what changes
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Didn't do anything different And you've tried the incognito mode thing? Hmmmmmm interesting I take it because you said data then the iPad and lappy are connected to different networks correct?
admin Site Manager Posted April 19, 2014 Author Posted April 19, 2014 Just tried my phone on chrome and worked fine.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Didn't work on wifi So it's obviously the network settings/privacy, have you played around with everything?
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 What the hell is a lappy Laptop lmao This is truly puzzling. Two different networks on two different devices yet the same outcome...
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Laptop lmao This is truly puzzling. Two different networks on two different devices yet the same outcome... Is it two networks? I thought it was only his wifi that wasn't working?
admin Site Manager Posted April 19, 2014 Author Posted April 19, 2014 Try going here http://network-tools.com/default.asp?prog=trace&host=www.bluejaysmessageboard.com
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Maybe your parents blocked it because they are worried you are spending too much time on here? lol
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 No its all the same network. My phone is the only place I can get to the board (on data), I can't get it on my iPad/Laptop/Home PC Wait it's all one network? Ok do me a favour and do these steps on your laptop: Go to the start menu and type 'cmd' and hit enter type in 'ping http://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com' Tell me if it pings it successfully and what ip address it's pingings
admin Site Manager Posted April 19, 2014 Author Posted April 19, 2014 Go to the link I sent f***. Don't list to Fatcox I don't even know how he's posting he's supposed to be banned.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 It said "request timed out" 4 times and then gave me a bunch of numbers Packets: sent = 4 received = 0 Lost = 4 (100% loss) Should be getting 72.44.93.67: 22 ms?
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 It said "request timed out" 4 times and then gave me a bunch of numbers Packets: sent = 4 received = 0 Lost = 4 (100% loss) Alright, it didn't provide you with an IP Address then, correct? Well at least we now know it's a network problem. Have you reset your modem since you couldn't access the site?
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Go to the link I sent f***. Don't list to Fatcox I don't even know how he's posting he's supposed to be banned. ITS BECAUSE YOU GUYS LOVE ME THATS WHY!!!! I'm just trying to help thats all
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 I went and then got lost in the numbers its hard to navigate on my s***** windows phone He wanted you to go to it on your laptop and post a screenshot
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 72.44.93.67 with 32 bytes of data it says Well that rules out the theory of your ISP being outdated and not detecting the new server
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 72.44.93.67 with 32 bytes of data it says Is that all it shows? http://i1312.photobucket.com/albums/t538/BlueJays20131/Capture_zps32cb6f6d.png
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Try going to the command prompt (in start menu search box type cmd), and type "ipconfig /flushdns", then try. If that doesn't work, try rebooting your router. If you also have something else in between your computer and internet, reboot that too. If those don't work, try setting your dns server to Google's free one and try again (or whatever your favorite service is).
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Is that all it shows? http://i1312.photobucket.com/albums/t538/BlueJays20131/Capture_zps32cb6f6d.png He gets his 4 packets in the loss column which makes sense on why he can't hit the site
admin Site Manager Posted April 19, 2014 Author Posted April 19, 2014 Well I have no idea. Do other browsers work did you say?
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 No sir they do not Who's your ISP by any chance? Just kicking rocks at ideas right now... Also did you try the Google DNS settings?
admin Site Manager Posted April 19, 2014 Author Posted April 19, 2014 You check for any malware lately?
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 BTW King, once you reboot the routers or change the dns provider, do the ipconfig /flushdns as well as ipconfig /renew (or reboot your computer, but this way is easier lol)
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 No but I could run a scan right now. Everything (appears) to be fine but for this website. A Ok I have an idea in mind, what router do you own? I'm presuming all the devices that don't work are connected through a centralized router, correct?
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Some Linksys Cisco thing do you want the model number Yes Alright so my theory is that your activity was seen as 'suspicious' by the server and your server is weirdly banned. Now a solution to this is for you to change your router's MAC address to get a new IP Address from your ISP so you can come to the site as a new IP Address. Do you know how to access your Linksys router's page? If not post your internal IP Address (should be something like 192.168.x.xxx)

fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Lol, he needs to try manually changing the dns server on his computer before he goes to those lengths. If he can access every website except this, a change in DNS won't do him any good, I'll try walking him through this lol 192.168.100.254 alright in your web browser, head to 192.168.100.1 Edit: Nevermind, alright king lol
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Its storming outside and hail or some s*** and its 2AM I am going to sleep, thank you all for your help hopefully it will work in a few days when I am back at home (or wherever I am going maybe it will work) Thank you!! Ahhhh, the ostrich technique.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 If he can access every website except this, a change in DNS won't do him any good, I'll try walking him through this lol It will if the problem is one of the routing tables not being updated (or corrupted) on his router or modem (depending on his setup), or his ISP not having their tables properly updated. It really feels like one of those is the cause to me.
