I'm having no problems with any websites besides this one. Everything working just fine.

Just tried other vbulletin forums and I can get them too. Dunno.

Yeah, remember we just changed servers a few days ago though. If your ISP hasn't properly updated the info or your computer or router hasn't for some reason ... hence the suggestions above.

King try this on your computer if you're running chrome:

Hit the 3 bars to the right hand side, and select settings

Scroll down to advanced settings and hit that

Uncheck the: "Predict actions to improve page load performance" checkbox

Should look like:

Give it a test and see what changes

Didn't do anything different

And you've tried the incognito mode thing? Hmmmmmm interesting

I take it because you said data then the iPad and lappy are connected to different networks correct?

Posted
Didn't work on wifi

So it's obviously the network settings/privacy, have you played around with everything?

Posted
What the hell is a lappy

Laptop lmao

This is truly puzzling. Two different networks on two different devices yet the same outcome...

Is it two networks? I thought it was only his wifi that wasn't working?

No its all the same network. My phone is the only place I can get to the board (on data), I can't get it on my iPad/Laptop/Home PC

Wait it's all one network? Ok do me a favour and do these steps on your laptop:

Go to the start menu and type 'cmd' and hit enter

type in 'ping http://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com'

Tell me if it pings it successfully and what ip address it's pingings

Go to the link I sent f***. Don't list to Fatcox I don't even know how he's posting he's supposed to be banned.

It said "request timed out" 4 times and then gave me a bunch of numbers

Packets: sent = 4

received = 0

Lost = 4 (100% loss)

Should be getting 72.44.93.67: 22 ms?

Alright, it didn't provide you with an IP Address then, correct? Well at least we now know it's a network problem. Have you reset your modem since you couldn't access the site?

Try going to the command prompt (in start menu search box type cmd), and type "ipconfig /flushdns", then try. If that doesn't work, try rebooting your router. If you also have something else in between your computer and internet, reboot that too.

If those don't work, try setting your dns server to Google's free one and try again (or whatever your favorite service is).

He gets his 4 packets in the loss column which makes sense on why he can't hit the site

Posted
No sir they do not

Who's your ISP by any chance? Just kicking rocks at ideas right now...

Also did you try the Google DNS settings?

Posted

BTW King, once you reboot the routers or change the dns provider, do the ipconfig /flushdns as well as ipconfig /renew

(or reboot your computer, but this way is easier lol)

Posted
No but I could run a scan right now. Everything (appears) to be fine but for this website. A

Ok I have an idea in mind, what router do you own? I'm presuming all the devices that don't work are connected through a centralized router, correct?

Posted
Some Linksys Cisco thing do you want the model number

Yes

Alright so my theory is that your activity was seen as 'suspicious' by the server and your server is weirdly banned. Now a solution to this is for you to change your router's MAC address to get a new IP Address from your ISP so you can come to the site as a new IP Address.

Do you know how to access your Linksys router's page? If not post your internal IP Address (should be something like 192.168.x.xxx)

Lol, he needs to try manually changing the dns server on his computer before he goes to those lengths.

If he can access every website except this, a change in DNS won't do him any good, I'll try walking him through this lol

192.168.100.254

alright in your web browser, head to 192.168.100.1

Edit: Nevermind, alright king lol

It will if the problem is one of the routing tables not being updated (or corrupted) on his router or modem (depending on his setup), or his ISP not having their tables properly updated. It really feels like one of those is the cause to me.
