Huh, how's that a big assumption, the guy's a workhorse?

Well, that was tied to my comment saying I thought the Indians could chase him early today. He's certainly a workhorse, no doubt about it. I just think he might be due for an early exit and it could be today. I certainly hope I'm wrong, a good season from Buehrle would be great not only for this year's chances of contending, but also for next off season's chances of trading him and a large chunk of his contract.

Even if he gets roughed up a bit, (pessimist) he'll likely still pitch through the innings, or Rogers/Happ comes in, dear god.

Buehrle goes 7 today , book it . BP needs a rest and the vet that he is knows that .

You guys make out Sergio Santos like he's Craig Kimbrel.

Sorry but he's more like Carlos Marmol.

And you have gone to another extreme. Can't we find a middle ground, he's a good reliever, how's that?

He's got the best slider in baseball, he needs to locate the fastball, and he could very well be as good as Kimbrel.

Is that your best CHP impression?

Yeah, no doubt, I was just commenting on other choices as closer instead of Santos. Cecil is one of those, but I think Gibby likes to have both lefties for the middle and late innings. I actually thought Gibbons would bring in Loup when he went to visit Santos at the mound last night. He was probably not available.

Says he'll go Loup today. that's open minded and I like it. Like you and others have said, your 9th inning doesn't HAVE to be a right hand throwing fire baller.

I'm sort of surprised by that since he went with Wagner in the 8th last night after both Cecil and Delabar ... thought maybe he'd tab Wagner for the save chance. But when you look at the Left handed heaviness of the Cleveland lineup outside of their switch hitters, Loup is a fine choice.

I just hope today isn't one of those Buerhle blowup days where he gets beat up. He's due for a stinker.

Plus Wagner closed for lots of games in AAA. He's used to it. But Loup is just so steady and matches well vs Cleveland. This is an area where I trust Gibby immensely. way more than I did Farrell.

And yeah, Buerhle has been playing over his head. It won't last forever, but I'll enjoy it as.long as it lasts.

People need to blame things and that's fine. But in cases of BABIP and HR/FB there is no one to blame. The batter and luck did it. Not the pitcher.

And I think the bat boy did it too.

He actually used to be pretty decent, but he's completely gone off the deep end over the last month or so.

I understand the political side of me pisses people off, and I really don't care, because I know people on here know very little beyond the saberstats of overpaid/over glorified/often times uneducated athletes. I have no emotional ties to these players. I want to see a winner, that's all I care about when it comes to this team. I'm just surprised that someone like you who frequently visits the GDT's, and bashes players "on the reg", gives Santos a complete pass for his performance tonight.

The first sentence of your post is a good example of what I'm talking about. Your posts have been unreadable since you were banned.

Oops. Guess I should "delete my account and start over". Lol.

Or just make decent posts, like you have for the last few years.

Ok. Just so you know, I still think you're alright. :-)

it really seems like everyone in the jays bullpen has lost velocity, I swear Santos and delabar were both hitting high nineties regularly with their fastballs last year. I wonder if jfas could corroborate this, or maybe I just had hard on for Santos last year and wasn't consistently watching his velocity ...either way, I get semi flacid every time I see him warm up in the bullpen now.
