1. I didn't say extremists did i? Exact quote "Iran backed the Kurds and they demanded invasion of land." The dude hit the Kurdish "rebellion". No extremists, but the people backing the Kurds in the north IIRC

2. I'm blaming rebels that wanted to separate with backing from a war enemy. Who are the victims? In the Iraqi eyes whoever is backed by Iran are enemies, and who were the Kurds backed by and pushed to start a 'civil war' (didn't get to that point)? None other than Iran. The Kurds tried to find a weakness by attacking Iraq during a war. I'm not saying gassing them is right (I was merely pointing to the fact that the West is as dirty too), I'm saying the idea of stifling them was correct. I'm an Iraqi at heart and I don't want to see my homeland taken.

3. Kuwait war, which as I highlighted earlier, was probably Saddam's biggest mistake.

Nope, you're just looking from one aspect of things. You can't just look at an attack from Saddam and say he's completely wrong without seeing what happened there in the first place

2. Yes. He killed the extremest from both the Sunnis and the Shi'its.

This is what I was referring to, he killed all types of Shi'ites, extremists or not.

To be fair to your argument, Iran and Iraq had a long standing tension going on, what you're not understanding is that Saddam had attacked Iran first of course the Kurds were going to stage a rebellion, but they only turned on the government after Iraq had started the war. This is not subjective info, look it up on Wikipedia

I get it, you are Iraqi and Hussein did some good things for the country, like Castro, Stalin or Mao, but like them he was still insane and power hungry.

Lol man, he may have been a dictator of sorts but he didn't commit massacres on his own people, he's also one of the only people ever of significance to speak up about the US' ********.

I'm not saying he's not, he's a power hungry SOB. I'm saying there came a time where Iraq was powerful and it was his rule. As I said earlier, He's retardedness as a ruler was displayed when he invaded Kuwait after a high ranking official insulted him. But he did build the country well, and the 80s Iraq was much better off than the Iraq in the 90s on. No starvation, no bombings, no terrorists. Even the death tolls that he killed himself within the country (ala the Kurds and Shi'its) don't match the amount of deaths that happened during the Iraq War and post-Iraq War with Al-Quieda and various other terrorists running in from Iran and Saudi Arabia. Also he never massacred his people. Kurdish rebellion and Shi'ite/pro Irani uprising wanted land and Irani control.

Also as for the Iraq attacking Iran first, it was published on Wikileaks IIRC that USA pressured him to do so.
