G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Depending on what the turn is like in Montreal (I assume they updated it) I don't know if I would have him playing their even if he is good enough to go. Just have in in AAA games. But great news that this is not very serious. Sounds like he should be ready for Monday.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 DH in Montreal sounds like a good idea actually
jerb Verified Member Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Barry Davis @SNBarryDavis Good news on #bluejays injury front. EE was well enough to play today and is good for tomorrow. Reyes will now play SS Friday in Montreal Mike Wilner Verified account @Wilnerness590 #Bluejays injury news: Encarnacion is fine, could have played today, just a day off; Reyes will play shortstop tomorrow in Montreal. #Jays
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Awesome awesome awesome Fingers crossed

Jesus give the guy some extra time off to make sure it's right

The DH plan in Montreal sounded like a good idea, but it looks like they aren't satisfied until Reyes hits the 60 day DL.
derp. Verified Member Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 For the Montreal games Friday and Saturday. Will the games be played on the really old astro turf the use to have played on?
Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Awesome awesome awesome Fingers crossed Great news. As contrary as I am it would make me much happier to be wrong about all my negativity. Rather look stupid and be able to watch the Jays in the playoffs.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 For the Montreal games Friday and Saturday. Will the games be played on the really old astro turf the use to have played on? From what I gather they have undated it since the last ball game there. I am guessing it would be similar to Tampa but I am not sure.

I am guessing it would be similar to Tampa but I am not sure. they def changed to a "better turf", they usually play cfl and impact games at the o. ps: does anybody know, for future references, how to posted youtube videos, tweets, gifs etc. Its not as easy as other forums
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 I don't really understand why they would put Reyes at SS in Montreal. Let him DH if he wants to play...no upside for him to play on the turf before he has to.

saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 AGREED!!! X 100! They wont be happy until hes on the 60 day DL. or perhaps they have the medical reports and he's healthy enough to play and getting some reps in the field never hurts before opening day.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Does not really matter he is going to be playing on Turf come Monday 2 days is not going to be the difference between the f***ing 60 day DL and being healthy lol. A wee bit of an over reaction.

Bottom line is you don't mess with hammys they can reagrevate so easily, you should be giving extra alotted time off

Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Then maybe keep him out of Tampa and only allow him to play on grass is that what your saying?? i wouldn't be playing him tonight or tomorrow, problem is this team is so bloody desperate to get off to a good start that they will play him at all costs

Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 That, with the cold weather, would be stupid to play him at short. I would say he is more likely to strain something running down the first baseline then fielding IMO I could be wrong I don't want to say but if there is no inflammation and no pain whether he starts today or Monday really makes no difference.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 I just laughed out loud visiting this forum, because I just knew I wouldn't find a thread saying Reyes and Edwin have been cleared to play, while there's a new thread made for every minor injury any Jays player ever suffers.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2014 Author Posted March 29, 2014 Edwin was injured? HPB on the hands... looked like his fingers specifically but stayed in and stole 2nd (defensive indifference)
