The_DH Verified Member Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 We've gotta be considering moving the arms that are out of options.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Seattle? Santos, Stilson and Nolin for Franklin please.
TBJ12 Verified Member Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Seattle? Santos, Stilson and Nolin for Franklin please. That seems like a bit much.
Ehjays Verified Member Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Seattle? Santos, Stilson and Nolin for Franklin please. Thats too much imo
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Thats too much imo I don't think it's that much and I think it would be worth it.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Really? I'm not sure the Mariners would even do that.
The_DH Verified Member Posted March 16, 2014 Author Posted March 16, 2014 I think we may need to keep Santos as the closer.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 I think we may need to keep Santos as the closer. I would be comfortable with Delabar if Santos is traded and Janssen is hurt
The_DH Verified Member Posted March 16, 2014 Author Posted March 16, 2014 I'm guessing available would include Drabek, Rogers, Redmond, Jeffress
BlueJaysGirl Verified Member Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 I'm guessing available would include Drabek, Rogers, Redmond, Jeffress No to Drabek. I'm still thinking he can get his s*** together on the farm and be a servicable 3-4 starter.
Jays Verified Member Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Seattle? Santos, Stilson and Nolin for Franklin please. Isn't that a terrible deal for Seattle?
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Isn't that a terrible deal for Seattle? lol. Yeah i was surprised when people said it was too much.
The_DH Verified Member Posted March 16, 2014 Author Posted March 16, 2014 I didn't think we would get a top ten prospect for any of them.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 lol. Yeah i was surprised when people said it was too much. Some people on this board are delusional. Jose Bautista for Mike Trout? OVERPAY.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Isn't that a terrible deal for Seattle? Eh, kinda bad, but not terrible. I think they'd do it (cause savez).
walkoff93 Verified Member Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Off the top of my head, I think the Mets, A's and Braves need pitching. The Mets owe us.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Good thing you're not GM. Seattle would never do that. Yeah. I pretty much said this after people responded that it was "too much". Although with Jack Z running the show. Ya just never know.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 I still think Franklin costs Sanchez or Stroman. The longer he stay's with Seattle the more i agree with this. If they were selling low he would be gone by now.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 I still think Franklin costs Sanchez or Stroman. I would agree in a vacuum but with Cano there that impacts there leverage a bit. I think that would drive down his return at least into a C to C+ prospect. What other value are they going to get from him playing in AAA or riding the bench while his option years burn away?
The_DH Verified Member Posted March 16, 2014 Author Posted March 16, 2014 I would think its a supply/demand thing. Not a lot of cheap infielders available and a lot of teams interested.
bendera3 Verified Member Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 I think what would make most sense is wait for an injury to arrive to another team and try to get a high upside player who is still in the minors and try to trade an out-of-options guy for him.
Jim_Ackers_balls Verified Member Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 Nice if we could get one. The Jays think they are in the drivers seat all the time and get passed by everyone. The Tigers or Mets or someone will nab Franklin before the Jays ever do.
