saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 The Ricky Romero bandwagon is making a stop for anyone who would like to jump aboard. Why? Well who the hell else do we have to start?
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2014 Author Posted March 12, 2014 That's a Sad Ass Bandwagon Ricky Kasmir is going to show you some things this year....not that I would bet large sums of money on it...but dare to dream.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Hutch is the savior this year if there is one.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2014 Author Posted March 12, 2014 Hutch is the savior this year if there is one. I tend to agree...but I think they should start him in AAA and limit his innings early...let him work fastball, change and save his arm and then bring him up june 1ish....hopefully romero can eat some innings..still has the movement and velocity.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Is it true Ricky hit 94mph today?

bendera3 Verified Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 If RR can get back to finding the strike zone it would make not signing another pitcher this offseason easier to handle. It would be like getting a new pitcher since he's so far down on the depth chart you almost forget he still exists. Maybe he has a new girlfriend?
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 http://i.imgur.com/hj1GckC.gif Holy s***... that looks like a painful death
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Yes, velocity has never been his problem, it's been control, and he was around the zone, good news, still early though. Actually i remember him only topping out at 90-91 during his last stint with the big club, but yes control has been his demise.
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Is it true Ricky hit 94mph today? Too bad it hit the fans in the stands and not the catcher's mitt.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 I forgot he was still in the org. I know what you mean. The only reason I still care that he is in the org is that they have to pay him 15M between this year and next whether he wins 15 games for the Jays or loses 15 for the Bisons. That blows.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Hutch is the savior this year if there is one. Agree. He and Stroman could swing the club's fortunes significantly. Problem is we should only be counting on one of them. Due to signing NO ONE to help with the rotation we would need both (or a Happ/Romero miracle) to be even adequate in the SP department.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 http://i.imgur.com/hj1GckC.gif That guy probably died. Only one that fails is the one that tried to make a joke of it in a GIF, and anyone else who uses it.

I feel a lot less guilty for it making me laugh now.
Ziggyy108 Verified Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 We are paying the guy 7 million one way or another. May as well give him every opportunity to make the rotation. What do we honestly have to lose this year
The_DH Verified Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 I have my fingers crossed for RR. Him and McGowan.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2014 Author Posted March 12, 2014 If Romero makes the rotation I probably won't watch baseball until hes DFA'ed again. 3964 posts since may 2013, somehow I doubt you'll quit watching baseball if Romero makes the roster...lol
Caper Verified Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Ricky's bandwagon is a pretty lonely place.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I'm on the Romero bandwagon, as long as McGowan's spot doesn't get taken
kgm1 Verified Member Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I'm on the Romero bandwagon, as long as McGowan's spot doesn't get taken I'm pulling for both and even more after the herd on here is pulling for both to fail. I don't understand how so many on this board really want some to fail . I think the herd effect rules on this board . Why the f*** would anyone hope he doesn't start a game . If he gets starts that means he has his control back . Hell he always had good stuff . He gets back to throwing strikes with his breaking balls and able to spot his fastball and we have another mid rotation starter and possibly we could deal him . Are some on this board hoping everything falls apart so they can keep whining and f***ing complaining . are you Jays fans or just internet whiners .
kgm1 Verified Member Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Yes, velocity has never been his problem, it's been control, and he was around the zone, good news, still early though. Jay ,I'm sure pulling for him to work it out at AAA early this year and come back . not likely going to happen fast but that would give us starters to deal if he came back and was a mid rotation starter
