wardhenke1 Verified Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Basically Moore singled, stole and then was singled home.
wardhenke1 Verified Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Glad you're back Spanky; I'll retire to the bench!!
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 I'm back in action, lol Shouldn't you be out shoveling that snow ?
glory Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Two singles and a walk allowed by Romero in his 2nd inning of work. The Jays really need to start giving him more Spring Training innings. It's great that they are giving Stroman four innings to see if he can win a spot, but Romero makes $7.5M this year and the team needs to get him right again. Let him throe 3-4 innings today and see what he has. He'll have bad innings and good innings, but the stuff and command is more important.
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Nope my back is f***ed. Me too but my percocets are helping.
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 That gameday is the shits.
wardhenke1 Verified Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Sorry Spanky, enthusiasm got the better of me.....
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Is Ricky any better? Hard to tell on the radio.
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Sounds like Romero learned how to throw strikes again good sign
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Jenkins in, nice job by Rickey Romero. That's awesome news.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Haven't been online all week. Just looked up some stats. I see Gose and Pillar are hitting their way straight to Buffalo...
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 I think Thole Getz and Diaz due up MEAT of the order baby
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Diaz hits one to the track to end it. My MLB audio feed is WAY behind whatever you're on
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Of course, I am also getting it from WIFI on a cruise ship so I can't complain LOL
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Romero and Drabek for #4 and #5..... Hutch replace Morrow when the time comes
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Romero had 2 Ks and 2 BBs in 3 innings, and under 60% strikes. That's not a good outing. Granted, it's not 2013-Romero horrible ... it's just not good. Pitchers IP H R ER BB SO HR ERA Stroman 4.0 5 3 3 1 3 1 8.00 Romero, R 4.0 2 1 1 2 3 0 1.29 Jenkins (L, 0-1) 1.0 1 1 1 0 0 1 4.15

Granted, it's not 2013-Romero horrible ... it's just not good. He pitched 4 innings with 3 K's and 2 BB while giving up 1 ER, get your facts straight. That's sounds like a pretty good outing to me you pessimistic pile of dog s***.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 we need a thread to track the SP candidates similar to Snider/Thames of a few years ago

Granted, it's not 2013-Romero horrible ... it's just not good. Romero was never good. His success came from his reverse platoon split. As soon as teams stopped playing to his strength he was done as an above average MLB pitcher. Not horrible is his upside now. I'll take it.

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 f*** lost power, it's snowing pretty bad out here. almost hit +20 today in Lethbridge, everything melting so fast we have a boil water order because of all the runoff is clogging s*** up

Not really, he lost his command and confidence (which came first I'm not sure), that killed him.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Thanks Spanky for all the updates/play by play on the game today. Much appreciated since i was in the office.
