jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Here's a name that O's fans might remember: Matt Eddy @MattEddyBA #BlueJays sign RHP Radhames Liz to minor league deal. He led Korean majors with 188 strikeouts last year, according to @MyKBO Interesting.. oh and he had a 3.06 ERA in the KBO last year with a 1.09 WHIP. This could be a good low risk signing if it pans out. He'll likely go to Buffalo..
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 I hate that guy. Liz used to pitch for my favourite the team in DWL (Estrellas Orientales), then, him signed with Taiwan team and anymore I saw him pitch in DWL.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 How well did he pitch in the DWL? Great. High K's, low BB and tons GB's Carlos Juan Bernhardt (Friend of mine) signing him for the O's................Btw Juan Carlos Bernhardt is Joe Bernhardt's uncle
GD Old-Timey Member Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 I like signings like this. Probably won't amount to much, but he's proven to be effective in a professional capacity and there's no downside or risk, more or less. Hopefully he'll work out well and help out at some point.

He really struggled with that in the minors and briefly in the majors. Hopefully he has that sorted out.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 I was all for them signing Shirek last year who's younger, a true GB guy and had minor league success here. Liz was a former top 100 prospect...and AA loves those. No risk, probably no reward here. O's asked Liz to be a reliever where he could have probably thrived...but those f***in' Dominicans are stubborn

GD Old-Timey Member Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 does he slot in above Romero on the depth list? lol In terms of skill? probably lmao
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 another sad day in the life of Rickey. I'll bet he knows he just got pushed back as well. I'm surprised he hasn't pushed to leave and maybe get a new start somewhere else.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Maybe the best minor-league pitcher signing we have so far? Hopefully he becomes a viable option to use!
Convo Verified Member Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Sweet k/bb ratio in the bigs. Lol 1:1
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 I'm surprised he hasn't pushed to leave and maybe get a new start somewhere else. I could be giving him a bit too much credit here, but I doubt he's that oblivious to not realize that "pushing to leave" is f***ing hopeless http://i.imgur.com/py2PxcN.gif
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 What the f*** was that thing he did after he threw the pitch? Is that spazzing thing part of his delivery?
