Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 You need to catch that Johnson
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 drabek's command was atrocious Just like old times!

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Neil Wagner in? I was suprised he was still around. Haven't thought about him in a long time.
vic city Verified Member Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 I've said in the past I think Sierra will surprise people this year. His bat has Edwin potential.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 As long as he either DHs or plays 1B.. Sierra's OF defense is ghastly..
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 I've said in the past I think Sierra will surprise people this year. His bat has Edwin potential. From what I've heard he's had a good winter ball season but other than that I can't see any reason to have that kind of faith in him.

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Happ and Drabek looked exactly as expected. Nice outing for Redmond though. Also, Franco at 3B is lulz. Did the telecasts show velocity for any of the pitchers?
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Nope, I was hoping to see what Redmond was showing. Yeah, that's what I was interested in also
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2014 Author Posted February 26, 2014 Redmond +2 Wagner +1 Happ -2 Drabek -1
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Redmond +2 Wagner +1 Happ -2 Drabek -1 Official "scoring" for roster chances?
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Seriously?!?!?! I don't mind that. It's the follow back stuff that's pretty pathetic.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Not saying he'll reach that potential this year but I see him taking a big step forward. It just seems like your taking a stab in the dark to me. I don't see a rationale for the optimism.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2014 Author Posted February 26, 2014 Official "scoring" for roster chances? Yeah. Rating. -Redmond 4th rotation spot -Wagner 6th Inning guy -Happ long RP -Drabek AAA
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2014 Author Posted February 26, 2014 Drabek on his outing: "I’m just upset with the command because that’s been a [career] struggle and I thought I had it figured out." lol
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Like this one? His feed must be just the most unreadable stream of Twitter diarhea. Pitty the poor lacky if he has to actually read it.
vic city Verified Member Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 It just seems like your taking a stab in the dark to me. I don't see a rationale for the optimism. I see similarities in their approaches/swings at the plate. Edwin used to swing wildly and was still somewhat effective. But it wasn't until he shortened his swing that he became the hitter that he is today. I think Sierra's swing has been pretty long/wild the last couple years but he has shown that he has that raw power like Edwin. I think Sierra will develop into a solid power threat once he figures his swing out...just like Edwin did.

bowld Verified Member Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 How was the #BautistaBomb?? Crushed. The ball left the ballpark with the aid of some pretty strong winds
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Crushed. The ball left the ballpark with the aid of some pretty strong winds Oh yeah!
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 As always, I'm going to wait a few weeks before starting to really judge anyone... But when pitchers with a history of s*** control (Drabek, Romero) or inadequate stuff (Happ) come out and look like the same old s***** pitchers right at the start of ST, it's awfully hard to let yourself think there's any chance they're going to impress the team and deserve a rotation spot by April

fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Nevermind game ends, 4-3 jays in 7 innings lol
