Hard to argue with this!

 

I wouldn't be surprised to see multiple signings and multiple players traded in the next two weeks. I could easily see us pull off trades with both the Dodgers and the Mariners.

I'd be pretty okay with this also, although it wouldn't be very efficient.

 

I agree. Team would be improved, but there is better ways to do it for our long term health.

Thats a pretty good guess, since Santos has already been traded once

Jack Z has also painted himself into a corner at 2B and has demonstrated an over-valuation of RPs in the recent past. Santos for Franklin sounds plausible to me, and as an added bonus it mitigates the Jimenez payroll hit.

I think we'd have to kick in a little more, but I could see them having some interest in someone like Happ since I doubt they'll really want 2 rookies in the rotation to start off the year.

This trade meets the criteria of players being over 30 for Amaro.

 

Wouldn't Crawford have to be a PTBNL?

If/When we get another starter I would not mind having Happ as long relief/Swingman in the bullpen. I mean he would a really good guy to have for depth and if the last few years means anything we will need it.

My guess at what will happen:

Sign Ubaldo, Trade Buehrle and Santos, Acquire an outfielder, 2nd baseman, and pitcher.

 

What I want to happen:

Sign Ubaldo AND Burnett, trade Janssen/Santos + Izzy + Happ, acquire Ackley or Franklin
