Cold shouldn't have anythig to do with it. He still has the same probability of hitting a home run next game as if he had hit 3 in a row.

 

I do consider streaks when calculating points because that is how most people decide their picks. Like when Melky was the only one hitting, he had to come down from 4 points because he was on fire. But for players Like Bautista and Eddy it will take a long cold streak for them to move away from 1 point.
