It's easy. Make a column for each player:

 

You see? And reset them at the end of each week. I would have to say put a max of picking a player 3 times per week?

 

That could work, not too hard looking at previous game and just keep updating. Would have no need for members to keep track or a need for a giant spreadsheet.

 

That or we can better evaluate the point values.

I like the max player selection. It prevents people from picking the same player everyday (like Melky as FeartheDoc said), and would require people to closely evaluate their selections. A little bit more strategy involved.

 

If a few people post saying they prefer this, then I'm all for it.

It would be great if someone would be able to volunteer and assist Dylan. That might be the only way the max player selections could work (seeing as it would take a lot of time -- too much for one person). If my current work schedule slows down, I might be able to help out.

The way King suggested a few posts ago, it won't be to hard for me to keep track. I will need help when I go out or leave for the weekend, but we can worry about that when it comes up.

I like that idea too, it would be something to fill the gaps of the long off days.

Added in 3 triple A games, and took a few other bonus days out. I don't want too many bonus days, there are currently 32 up till the playoffs.

I'm thinking of adding something for the allstar game and HR derby.

Keep it simple, pick a player for the game for a +2 bonus, and picker the winner of the derby for a +1..

 

Most people on this board love making predictions and stuff, would be great to have some sort of predictions contest of some sort.

Ya I know he was thinking about it. Not sure if it is a standings based, or predict things at the beginning of the season, or if it is an ongoing thing.

A lot of new posters have joined over the offseason, so I'm hoping we have a lot more people playing this season.

 

I'm hoping for 45-50 members to take part throughout the season. Had over 60 people make at least one guess last season, and about 20-30 guessed regularly.

For sure there will be points for these, I didn't put them in the standard bonus points just because how rare they are. I'd say 10 points for the cycle and a 5 point for inside the park

It's the same thing as last year except the season is divided into two parts to allow people who fall behind to still have a shot. Playoffs are the same format just the numbers changed a bit. Might seem like a lot of information up front but that is to clear up problems we had last year.

 

There is only 1 real difference and that is you can only pick the same player 3 times per week (like we had last year in the playoffs) and that is just to prevent someone from taking one player all season.

 

 

Don't be confused by the bonus day schedule, that is just there so people know which days to not miss, the bonus days will be run the same way as last year. All you really need to do is come on 5 minutes before the game, check the point values for that day, and pick 1 player.

1. Pick 1 player to hit a home run each game, win points

2. You can only pick each player 3 times each week

3. There will be fun bonus days to make things more interesting (schedule in 2nd post of the thread)

4. Season divided into two halves, top 14 members from each half make the playoffs (playoff format in the first post)

I think it's better to change to 4, means you have to pick at least 2 different players each week. Once injuries start happening it might get crappy having to pick 3 different players each week.
