Is saskjayfan dead?

Ha ha, I've watch all the games at the bar. I've even converted my English buddy to being a Canada fan. Now England still his number 1, but he's lived here 20 years now and has citizenship. He knows all the players on team Canada and has watched all the qualifiers and quite engaged in our team.

The last window is basically a formality. I doubt we'd need a single point to qualify, but I'm hoping for a repeat performance!

Whatever happened to my best soccer friend Bob?

He stopped posting around the same time Boxy went on a hiatus, hmmm... they were best friends also, lol.

That knobjockey blocked me a long time before that.

The Ismael Kone era is upon. The Canadian Men's national team goes for Qatar this Thursday! Go Canada!

Canada vs Costa Rica 10pm on sportsnet. I know Spanky will be watching

That was about as good as loss could possibly feel. Down to 10 mean early. Really dumb by Mark Anthony Kaye. We concede a goal and down a man dominate the play and create so many great scoring chances. How many posts and crossbars do you have to hit to get a goal.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing Costa Rica qualify. Given the US MEX tie and the Panama tie we are in great position to beat Jamaica, clinch the world cup and still finish the top of the Concacaf table.

Ritchie Laryea, MOTM. Hoilett looked good coming on. Ismael Kone. This kid is going to be a star!

I was kind of hoping for Canada to lose since I'm going to the game on Sunday. Would love to see Canada qualify for the World Cup at home.

Hottest ticket in town. Funny, because when I bought Panama tickets, there was plenty. But after that win, they started selling out in minutes.

Hope you get to see Kone at some point. 23:30 of this video. Look at the composure and pass to start this play out, then the brilliance of hoilett and Laryea on this play. Laryea was MOTM. Really good effort. Too bad David hit the post on this play.

Enjoy the game, dude. Atmosphere should be electric

Pretty good game. I didn't cheer on the 4th goal though. Seemed a bit tacky to cheer an own-goal when the game was already decided.

Felt a bit bad for Jamaica. Those guys must have been freezing, and it's never fun to play on the road when you've already been eliminated.

TIL... soccer is the most participated sport in Canada. I mean, in cost that makes obvious sense. If hockey's equipment cost and registration wasn't so high, that number would get kiboshed. ;)

I know what Spanky will be watching tonight

Ismael Kone making his first start. How could you not watch?

Fun qualifying fact. Alphonso Davies was clocked at 37KM/h making his run on his iconic goal against Panama. That works out to 33.7 f/s....now that's a road runner.
