Also Alex Castellanos was waived. Never had much of a chance in the majors but great AAA numbers.

 

*shrug* toss him in AAA. Couldn't be worst than Sierra.

Smith replacing Frieri as closer in Anaheim. Tough luck for Frieri who has a 3.31 xFIP, but 38.5% HR/FB and .409 BABIP. 2.61 SIERA to boot.

 

Smith is clearly the better option, everything considered

As much as tonight's game has stunk for the Jays, the Yankees are having equally bad problems with the Angels, who have put up 8 on Kuroda in 4.2 IP. Pujols now has 9 HRs on the season.

Lloyd McClendon needs to stop hitting Almonte and Bloomquist 1-2. Actually I hope he doesn't because its funny. He has to be the worst manager in the game.

 

Now I'm hoping he didn't bench Ackley and it's just a night off.

Only because Soto is hurt. He's not even getting most of the starts in Texas. Chirinos is.

Ground ball in the hole on the right side of the infield, LeMahieu knocked it down but his momentum made him overrun the ball. Gordon just kept running and got to second. He's lightning fast.
