Governator Community Moderator Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 Ever wonder what happens when you put a baseball under 100,000 lb of pressure? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzqaztKb35w&feature=youtu.be If you squint a little, it starts to look like the Blue Jays bullpen by the end.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 Also Alex Castellanos was waived. Never had much of a chance in the majors but great AAA numbers. *shrug* toss him in AAA. Couldn't be worst than Sierra.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 This is hilarious, all my best holds guys are turning into closers on my DDL team. I only have one legit holds option right now.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 AJ Griffin headed for Tommy John.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 Smith replacing Frieri as closer in Anaheim. Tough luck for Frieri who has a 3.31 xFIP, but 38.5% HR/FB and .409 BABIP. 2.61 SIERA to boot. Smith is clearly the better option, everything considered .. As I needed a 2nd closer in bbdl:)
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 AJ Griffin headed for Tommy John. http://www.picturesnew.com/media/images/aliens-meme-image.jpeg
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 As much as tonight's game has stunk for the Jays, the Yankees are having equally bad problems with the Angels, who have put up 8 on Kuroda in 4.2 IP. Pujols now has 9 HRs on the season.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Chris Davis hurt. He left the game grimacing.. more to come. This could be a devastating blow for Baltimore if he misses significant time.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Angels now shellacking the Yanks 11-1. Bruce Billings is sure taking one for the team.. he just gave up a 3-run HR to Erick Aybar.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Update on Chris Davis.. it's a strained oblique, DL stint looking likely. Not a good thing for O's fans.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Anyone know why Harper went out of game?? It's always fn something with him
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Wrist injury sliding head first into 3rd Jesus.. Fn guy. Always something
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 That sounds like trouble. Your moms a whore
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Lloyd McClendon needs to stop hitting Almonte and Bloomquist 1-2. Actually I hope he doesn't because its funny. He has to be the worst manager in the game. Now I'm hoping he didn't bench Ackley and it's just a night off.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Robbie Ross kind of reminds me a little of Cecil when he first came up.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 How is JPA a starting mlb C after last year, the pre-season, and this start
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 How is JPA a starting mlb C after last year, the pre-season, and this start Only because Soto is hurt. He's not even getting most of the starts in Texas. Chirinos is.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 I'm happy about this. Love Joe Smith. Most boring name in baseball??
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Jose Abreu is a monster, White Sox got themselves a steal with that contract. We'll see how he does when the league starts adjusting to him. So far so good though!
bzapple Verified Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Lol, Dee Gordon just hit an infield double.
Convo Verified Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Jose Abreu is a monster, White Sox got themselves a steal with that contract. Agreed. His stats in Cuban leagues were f***ing mammoth Jose Abreu 2010-11 Cuban National League Stats G AVG OBP SLG HR 66 .453 .597 .986 33
bzapple Verified Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 No way? Ground ball in the hole on the right side of the infield, LeMahieu knocked it down but his momentum made him overrun the ball. Gordon just kept running and got to second. He's lightning fast.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 JPA with a double AND he threw someone out lol. That will probably buy him another month
Convo Verified Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Matt Joyce has 5 walks in 5 plate appearances today. OBP now at 0.480 on the year. OBP is for pussies! Our team goes up there hacking with a chance to be a hero in every single AB, it's an excellent approach. f***
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARDDDDDDDDDDDDDD....... YESS! Jose Abreu walk-off grand slam!
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Matt Joyce has 5 walks in 5 plate appearances today. OBP now at 0.480 on the year. Brandon Moss got hit twice in the same inning (different PA).
