CJ Cron sent down(undeservingly) for Huston Street, because he had options and the Angels need a fresh arm after that marathon last night that went 16.

In reality though, Cron could use a little AAA time (.115/.115/.115) in the last 14 days, .205/.239/.273 in July.

Big big games these

Will someone please pull Gomes off the field? Two times this game he's made some terrible plays in LF. I've seen better OF defense from other teams..

4-O now, after half an inning, thanks Hammel.

Pomeranz or Milone (or even Brad Mills) could've been up there in Oakland right now producing better numbers than Hammel. Cubs sold high on him.. so far, Hammel's return to the AL hasn't gone so well.

Also, don't forget the Mariners/Angels game too, which is scoreless so far.

Lucky thing that King Felix is going tonight for the Mariners, they're going to be hard pressed to score.. have you seen that lineup? 5-9 spots are all hitting in the .220s at best.. Romero, their #2 hitter, is batting .195.

LINEUP BTW:

Jones CF Romero RF Cano 2B Seager 3B Morrison 1B Hart DH Ackley LF Miller SS Sucre C

Rays win again. Big blow for Mariners fans hoping for Price.. the more the Rays continue to win, the lesser chance Price or Zobrist get moved.

A Mariners loss and the Rays are only 6 out.

Better cheer for the Angels. It looks like the O's are going to beat the A's tonight.

Adam Jones 2-2 with 5 RBIs and 1 BB..

Seems like a special night for Jones.

Angels/Mariners are tied at 1 heading into the 8th. Angels may have the advantage though.. King Felix is over 110 pitchers, yet Garret Richards is only at 84. Oh, and the Mariners offense is PATHETIC.. if there's a team that's likely to cool off and possibly be surpassed by Cleveland, New York, or even Toronto, it's likely them. King Felix and Iwakuma can't do everything themselves.

Oh, and talk is that a Price trade is unlikely in Seattle according to Rosenthal:

"Rosenthal identifies two potential barriers to a deal for the Mariners. With Price set to earn about $20MM in his final year of arbitration, ownership might not be willing to commit both financially and with prospects. Additionally, rival GM’s tell Rosenthal that M’s GM Jack Zduriencik is difficult to push across the finish line in trade talks."

Basically, teams are probably not willing to trade with Seattle, because the M's GM is as bad as AA. They had Nelson Cruz on their laps in the offseason.. and refused to sign him. He would've really helped their offense..

"Difficult to push across the finish line" lol. I wonder what that's supposed to mean.

Probably means he's not willing to add payroll or give up top prospects, especially if he feels that the run by the Mariners is a fluke.

C'mon Angels score a run.. we don't need another 16 inning marathon like last night, especially considering the Mariners have little scoring outside of Cano and Seager(BTW, Seager is 0-10 in the series so far.)

Bad news for Jays, Yankees, Red Sox and Rays fans.. O's are headed for a win. Chris Davis hit a HR off of former teammate Jim Johnson, making it 8-4 O's.

WHY? Why won't anyone score a run in LA?? Still 1-1 in the 12th inning. Salt Lake's Bees and Tacoma's Rainiers are on call as we speak I bet to send arms to both LA and Seattle, respectively, as both teams continue to heavily use their bullpens.
