Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Kershaw finally gave up a run after 36 innings of shutout ball, incredible. Kershaw isn't Timmy-Lincy.....Lincy is the only man on earth who's able to f*** the Padres every single outing.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Kershaw finally gave up a run after 36 innings of shutout ball, incredible. HR to of all people... Chase Headley. I feel like the Padres are asking way too much in return otherwise he would be moved by now.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Omar Minaya to Alex "Headley was the man who broke the Kershaw's scoreless streak.....Headley for Norris"
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Headley's broken. So are all the AAA scrubs on our roster. He would be an upgrade over Francisco easily and has the chance to provide above average production for the 3rd base position.
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 No one has posted about Headley's grip change? Despite his injury, at least in the short term it has apparently made a huge difference. These are the type of things AA believes in. ie Happ/Romero deliveries.
shortstop Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 frenchsoup, let's not forget Goins: http://www.tsn.ca/mlb/story/?id=447239 but Headley ain't Goins that's for sure. http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2014/jul/08/chase-headley-grip-handle-padres/

His numbers in AAA stabilized but it's probably still too low to get you avg MLB lever.
shortstop Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 that's fair flafson but still showing limited to no power (0 HR's)...gotta get at least 5-10 at that spot...he's 26 I believe, don't see him cracking the lineup next year...he's definitely on the clock

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Mariners lost last night, meaning the Jays are only 1.5 out of the wild card. Worse for the Mariners, their next two series are the dreaded Angels and A's, teams who are far superior to the Mariners. They also lost Michael Saunders to an oblique injury.. guess they shouldn't have let Cole Gillespie go, although he's garbage no matter where he is.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Yankees dumpster diving: The Yankees have acquired veteran lefty Jeff Francis from the A’s, reports ESPN’s Jerry Crasnick. Francis was designated for assignment last week. Francis and cash considerations are heading to the Yankees for a player to be named later.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Yankees dumpster diving: Jeff Francis and cash considerations are heading to the Yankees for a player to be named later. They have no options worth calling up in the minors, as most of them (Greene, Whitley) are already in the majors, Banuelos is still stuck in AA rehabbing, and Bryan Mitchell is garbage.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Jubaldo Jimenez to DL Gausman recalled

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 That sucks I'd rather face Jimenez than Gausman LOL Ubaldo was pitching better recently before the injury. He just isn't getting any run support.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Billy Hamilton, everybody. http://giant.gfycat.com/WildTidyBeagle.gif Find the video of him scoring from third on what was practically and infield fly.... Sick speed
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Mariners beat Oakland on a very questionable high third strike on punto, who then loses his mind and throws his helmet, and Melvin tears the ump a new one after. Very entertaining stuff.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Leads league in CS.... guess his instincts aren't quite there yet... Also has 37SB. There is no denying is basestealing value is plus plus.
