Red Sox offense is SO bad, they're getting 1 hit by Scott Carroll and the White Sox pen. WTF?

 

I'd like to laugh at this but our offense has been equally inept as of late

Gibby is a team player - he knows his time will come & if that means AA fires him for the sake of AA attempting to blame some/most of this on Gibby to the casual fan, then Gibby will take it in stride...

 

whatever happens to Gibby, I will say this - he imo loves the organization/blue jays & likely wouldn't want to be anywhere else...

The Jays had a 6 game lead and haven't made the playoffs in 21 years. If they need to fire the manager in order to provide them a wakeup call, then that should tell you everything you need to know about the roster that AA has assembled.

 

Gibbons is not the problem. The lack of offensive depth is the problem. And Reyes. Reyes is also the problem.

This makes me very, very, very, very sad.

 

Maybe the Yankees need a shortstop in the post-Jeter era? Their fanbase is already used to that kind of range.

Orioles: 22-13

Rays: 18-18

Yankees: 16-18

Blue Jays: 14-20

Red Sox: 13-21

 

Orioles have to come back down to earth and we will start wining some games. Right???

Would like to think so but O's are likely playing at their potential...so don't see them faltering much assuming status quo

 

They've been healthy relatively - things get interesting if a solid player or two go down...

 

That's why I see Duquette having the green light from ownership to grab 1-2 position players & a pitcher...not only for September run but also better depth in case of injuries

And AA was talking recently about extending Reyes?!

 

Oh comon don't promote this half truth crap.

 

He was directly asked about how he would keep the team competitive past the contract window of Bautista/Reyes/E5. Do you think he would say absolutely not? That Bautista will not be a Jay in x years, the same with Edwin/Reyes? How would the players react to that?

 

Of course he's going to be open-ended. That's out of respect for the players. That doesn't mean he's going to do it.

When referring to Franco, he noted that Franco can also play first base, indicating perhaps that the struggling*

No. I'd rather have good players who can play 150+ games per year and not have to live off platoons.

Just asking because Michael Taylor cleared waivers at one point but AA was still commited to Sierra at the time. I think I'd rather have Taylor over Mastroianni but whether either is actually good enough to fill a need is highly debattable. I wish AA would do something soon.
