admin Site Manager Posted June 25, 2014 Author Posted June 25, 2014 End of 2012 I said buy low on Arrieta when he had a 6+ ERA! I was banned and deleted but here's my thread. http://www.forums.mlb.com/discussions/Toronto_Blue_Jays/_/_/ml-bluejays/86418.1
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Kyle Seager 3-run shot, M's up 6-2 on Red Sox. Seager quietly putting together another solid season. Go M's!
admin Site Manager Posted June 25, 2014 Author Posted June 25, 2014 Every couple years I remind myself how good Barry Bonds was. When he was 40, he hit .362/.609/.812 1.422OPS He had 45 home runs. He was walked 232 times that year, which is over 100 more than the next closest. Even his last year, at 43 years old, he hit .276/.480 with 28HR and 3.4WAR. In a full season he would have been close to 40HR and 4.7WAR with terrible defence. 11th in the league in slugging that year. Yet no one was allowed to sign him the following year. He probably could have played three more years as an above average DH.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Just great, fangraphs died on me while I'm in the middle of making tomorrow's GDT.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 http://blabseal.de/divegrass/ Enjoy some baseball at 3 AM! Lol watch it end on the first batter. That will be a Bad Luck Brian moment.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 I knew it! D-Backs win on an Aaron Hill deep fly ball.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Hey King, what are the guys on the chat talking about? Was there some record?
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 I closed the window but pretty sure that was the 2nd longest game in dbacks history. Or something along those lines. 2nd longest game in something history Wow, impressive, it just seems like it's just some random game that's still going on at 3 am, and yet it's actually historic in some way. Imagine how o2cui2i would be around this time lol.
jb22 Verified Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 It was only 14 innings... Not exactly historic the team has only been around for 16 years lol
Convo Verified Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Man Henderson Alvarez quietly putting up a dominant season... walks down even more, strike-outs up a little
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Marco Gonzales making his MLB debut tonight against the Rockies. He absolutely dominated the minor leagues, struck out over a batter an inning with a walk rate at 2/9.
