jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Darn Parrino.. who taught him to play SS? Russ Adams? That was a terrible throw. A's should've been out of the inning a few batters ago. Never mind, Parrino got the A's out of the inning by getting a force at 3rd. Still, he could've avoiding letting the run score by throwing to 2nd instead of 1st, when he committed that error.

glory Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 The Yankees are one game out in the loss column now. We really need the A's to lay the hammer down tonight and tomorrow.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Yankees have played fewer games due to schedule and games to be made up. Not terribly concerned about the loss column. Oh, and the lights just blew at the O.co... they're in a delay while the lights come back on.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Boy, does Oakland ever need a new stadium.. the bank of lights in LF blew.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 While we wait on the lights, the Atlanta/LA game is deep into extras.. 6-6 in the 12th because Ernesto Frieri absolutely was nuked (0.0 IP, 5H, 4ER), tying a winnable game for the Angels.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Still not fixed yet.. and now they're talking about a double-header tomorrow if they don't get it fixed.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Yep, been watching this game since the ninth. It was crazy for a while but now neither team has been able to get anything going. And now CJ Wilson is PHing instead of Cowgill or Conger. WTF? Oh, and Colby Ramsus's bro will likely be coming in for the bottom of the 13th, as he's the last arm left unless they use Shoemaker or a position player (Cowgill?) in relief.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Maybe neither of those guys can bunt (and Scoscia was going to call for a bunt no matter the hitter)? Although Wilson failed at the bunt, just walked lol. Hale's having issues this inning. Bases loaded, no outs, and Johnny Mac hitting. Braves only have Shae Simmons left in the pen..but I'm not sure on availability.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Lights are fixed. Game is going to resume at the O.co.. Meanwhile, BJ Upton just misplayed a line drive and gave the Angels a 1-run lead.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Trout just gave the Angels a 3-run lead with a 2-run double. Here comes Shae Simmons..
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 I REALLY wanted Gallo that draft. When we didn't get him someone in a JaysJournal chat told me to get off the ledge lol Wanted Fried, Giolito, Gallo from that draft. Wanted Fernandez (I thought he'd be a good 2/3... lol), Gray and Cron from 2011. Hindsight hurts sometimes lol. Jose Fernandez? Wrong draft there bud. (2011) Plus, there was no way Fried was gonna fall to us, he was a consensus Top 10 guy.

"Wanted Fernandez (I thought he'd be a good 2/3... lol), Gray and Cron from 2011". I found that out later, I was just getting into the draft, but I liked Giolito by far the most. That was a kick in the nuts.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 The coliseum is packed, the Yankees can make anything happen
Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Yanks getting crushed by the A's.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Never realized just how terrible McCann has been. And I admit I wanted him on our team.

admin Site Manager Posted June 15, 2014 Author Posted June 15, 2014 Beginning of last year or even the year before with an ERA of high 5s, I said we should buy low on Jake Arrieta. 2.09 in 8 starts this year. Would make a good #5.

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 OMFG Gentry nailed in the head.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 A's about to completely blow this open.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Shame Tanaka will be pitching Tuesday. Even with the off day on Monday it would be nice to get deep in their pen.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Still 9-0 dude Oops Just assumed two scored there.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 I actually prefer it when division rivals lose in close games. I just think teams try to rebound after getting blown out. Of course, it helps that Tanaka is starting on Tuesday.
