z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Phillies dead last in the NL Trade for Cliff Lee with some salary relief in late June Yet still matching the Rays in wins with 4 games in hand.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Isn't he hurt and playing below his usual self? http://www.sbnation.com/mlb/2014/5/20/5736318/cliff-lee-injury-elbow-mri-phillies
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Yet still matching the Rays in wins with 4 games in hand. Yeah maybe not quite as bad as it looks at first glance. Pretty balanced division so far actually.

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Phillies dead last in the NL Trade for Cliff Lee with some salary relief in late June Do you want to give up Stroman and/or Sanchez? Cause that's how you give up Stroman and/or Sanchez
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Do you want to give up Stroman and/or Sanchez? Cause that's how you give up Stroman and/or Sanchez I would give up Sanchez plus Lind or Francisco plus Rasmus or Pillar or another non-Stroman/Nolin prospect to get him (though they prob don't want Colby as a rental I realize)

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Ruben Amaro is an idiot I'm pretty you can get 50 cents on the dollar for Cole hamels. He's an idiot in many ways, but he seems to overvalue his own overpaid pitchers in trade value, according to other GM's. Unlikely you'd be able to "steal" one. (though in this market I'm no longer sure that 23-25M per season is even overpaid anymore for dependable starters)
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Yu darvish update: Still amazing! He really is I hate thinking "what if we'd signed Darvish and not felt the need to trade for Dickey" That serves no purpose

From #3 prospect in baseball in 2006 to hitting .123 in the Atlantic League: http://www.baseball-reference.com/minors/player.cgi?id=wood--002ric There used to be so much hype around Wood.

BTS Community Moderator Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Consecutive walk-off wins for TB behind great starts from Cobb and Archer. Things are turning around.

Just need Chris Davis to be suspended for steroid use and Baltimore would start losing too. f*** that guy doesn't even swing with effort and the ball somehow goes 450 feet. At least Jose and Edwin are like max effort swinging to get theirs.
