Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 HOw f***ing stupid. Deserve its own thread?
Spoonovic Verified Member Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 How long was Sammy suspended for?
TheHurl Site Manager Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Pine tar on his neck? He's gonna be gone a while for this.. expect a lengthy suspension, possibly 25-50 games for this. maybe lifetime ban
Caper Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 beautiful Pineda. Loving the announcers talk like it's stupid to "cheat". It's cheating.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Sorry, I forgot to read MLB rules regarding foreign substances: (a) "The pitcher shall be ejected immediately from the game and shall be suspended automatically for 10 games." And it'll likely be more than that with the current issues with PEDs..

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 I expect him to get more because he pulled this stunt in a previous start vs. the Red Sox this season. I knew he was due for regression.. but I didn't know he was a cheater.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Pineda and Nova both out Ouch
Ziggyy108 Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Pitcher suspensions have always been silly. They usually only miss a start - sometimes two.

Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Tanaka is basically doing the pitching equivalent of what Puig did last year, The league will adjust to him and we will see how he bounces back. His stuff moves too much to only walk 2 batters
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Twins looking to make work of the AL East this year lol. That's surprising to say the least.
Ash70 Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Rays pitcher, Bedard, getting rocked early. 4-0 already, 1 out in 2nd, over 60 pitches. #pleasing.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Nick Franklin sent down. He is represented by Boras, so it won't happen, but there has to be a trade that both teams would do.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Bedard gives up 3 runs in 1st inning then 1 run in 2nd vs Twins Good, good...
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Jon Morosi @jonmorosi 2m Know it's early, but surprising to see Cardinals rank 24th in majors in team OPS. They'll come out of it, probably soon.
BlueJaysGirl Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Twins looking to make work of the AL East this year lol. That's surprising to say the least. I sure think Gardenhire is a fantastic manager. Give him a mediocre team and he will help them overachieve. He's the one manager I'd take out of anyone around, after Madden who I think is the best manager (and most likeable) in baseball #myopinion
BlueJaysGirl Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Ackley please. Do you think we even have a hope of bringing Drew in after the draft? Drew plus a Sanchez or Nolan in June in the SP #5 spot would make me happy.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Erik Bedard and Heath Bell BOTH roughed up. Min leading 8-3. This is good

Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Any manager who bats Kurt Suzuki 2nd is not a good manager. 8-3 over the rays man....What the problem is lol

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 I'm confused by this. If the Twins have an open 40 man spot they can use on Wilson why didn't they just use it on Mastroianni in the first place?
BlueJaysGirl Verified Member Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Any manager who bats Kurt Suzuki 2nd is not a good manager. He doesn't have a good team. Last year Kawasaki DHed a game or two for the Jays. Optimal? No. But necessary given our thin roster. Gardenhire tends to win with mediocrity.
