4.1 IP, 10 H, 8 ER, 6Ks, 2 BB..

 

Something is not right with him.. has he been taking pitching lessons from Ricky Romero? Good thing Boston didn't trade any of their young starters.. this is concerning if you're in RSN(Red Sox Nation).

That's not an excuse this late in spring training, especially as pitchers are stretched out.

 

Doubront's last two starts:

 

8 IP, 15 ER, 20H, 5BB, 8K, 3.125 WHIP

 

Either his velocity is down, he has a dead arm, or is hiding an elbow or shoulder injury. I sense a potential DL stint coming for him.

I still don't understand what the point of that trade was. Was there a burning need for one year of a 34-year old middle reliever in a rebuilding season? Very similar to the Happ/Lyon trade.

 

AA just wanted to look at Frasors wife.

Didn't we get comp for Frasor? Two nothing prospects for comp would've been very good. I didn't really think Jaye would ever turn into something. And isn't Webb getting some notoriety too?

I think it's Jones' to lose at this point but damn, that's not good.

It's depressing. Would have loved to seen what Profar could do with everyday AB's this season. Its been an awful week in baseball.

Watching the Cubs-A's game here, the balls are flying out. Lake with 3, Valbuena with 2, and Olt crushes one out of the stadium, all in less than 5 innings.
