depends how much the $ per win goes up I suppose. I see him coming close to that value.

Plus he's pretty much irreplaceable. What are you gonna do? They have the cash...

This is interesting:

Agent Scott Boras has increasingly given indication that free agent Stephen Drew is willing to play positions other than shortstop, says Gammons, which may increase his appeal to both the Yankees and Red Sox. As Andy Martino of the New York Daily News writes in a separate piece, Boras says that Drew has suitors other than the Sox and Mets, though he declined to name them.

As much as it's Boras which makes it incredible unlikely, if we don't like the FA pitching prices and he's willing to play 2nd ...

I've been pumping the Drew-at-2B tires for months now lol. I've kind of accepting it isn't happening.

He hit .220 with 46 hits last season! Lets advance players from our own system and promote them. Brenden Kalfus and others in the Blue Jays system will provide the foundation for multiple playoff runs and winning seasons.

Excitement! Track Team!

But seriously this guy is like Bonifacio with passable defense. He doesn't hit and he has no exploitable platoon split. Kawasaki all day over this scrub even more so if Kawasaki had a platoon partner.

He's got gigantism... Griffey had it too.

Def a huge hgh indicator if it wasn't there to start with PS.. don't know him well though

Agreed! Kalfus will lead the jays to a world series title with superman like catches in the outfield and spraying the ball to all fields. Kalfus is the star that Jays fans deserve. Long Live King Kalfus!

If we build them (prospects), they will come (championships). Brenden Kalfus is one of the best switch-hitters in our system. Speed, great arm and defense and a batting title. I agree with you "King" - "Long Live King Kalfus!"

Fail for not including 3-d graphs! (kidding)

Very interesting! I'm a little surprised that the run factor goes up for pitches still on the plate at the outside corner. Maybe include the overall umpire bias in as well vs righties.

BTW, you misspelled vertical on the second graph.

"Camera angles in all parks will also be standardized." This is pretty cool.

I love that the teams will be able to have guys upstairs contact the manager about whether or not to throw a challenge. I wonder which team will be the first to use that for other purposes and get slapped on the wrist.

First two teams to use for other purposes: Yankees and Red Sox.

Last two teams to get a slap on the wrist for it: Yankees and Red Sox.

It seems like the video assistant will be in the clubhouse. At least that's what the press release said. You make a good point... I'm sure some team will train the assistant on pitch tipping and have him call the dugout when he has something. That doesn't seem like it'd be against the rules though.

So could a manager see a play go against his team, wait too see if the other team scores a run because of it, if not then he doesn't challenge, but if they do score because of it, say one batter later, could the manager then challenge the play that went against his team?

He'd make a great True Card.

he'd be my 3rd 3B if things went this way and he played there all year. There would be one moving.

I'll be looking for a 3B next year, although I think Santana will retain C eligibility or a year or two.

Just a tidbit I came across today;

The two players with the largest team-agent arb gap are both top-of-the-rotation-pitchers and prime Blue Jays' trade targets -- Bailey and Masterson.

Masterson would be awesome.
