I watched almost every game. It's a shame his bat is so bad. He honestly looked like a gold glove second baseman in the two months or so he played. It was spectacular.

I think AA will definitely add another 2B to the mix. It might not be a big money name but we need insurance in case Goins isn't ready and Izturis is a back up.

 

I think AA will be looking to make another multiple piece trade if possible. If not, one of our relievers can be packaged with a mid level prospect for a decent middle infielder.

Why does he say stupid things like that! (2nd base) yeah u got an all defense stud up the middle but Reyes is still pretty bad defensively.

When did he say that? Maybe was a slip and accidentally leaked a pending trade. Fact is even if he is fine with Goins/Izzy at 2b it still leaves no depth behind them in case of injuries. Can't go into the season with Izzy backing up both Reyes and Goins.

Not only will he ignore 2B to address the rotation, he'll weaken us somewhere else to a larger degree than he upgrades the rotation.

WTF for when Izturis will give you basically the same numbers at $4M per season. Infante can gfh if he thinks someone will offer him a 4/32 type deal. Izturis will be back to his career numbers, the culture shock has worn off.

 

Izturis / Goins combo at 2B in 2014. Book it.

Yes. He tried to work Neil Walker in a deal when Pittsburgh asked for Lind. With Ackley and Franklin on the market, and Infante still a free agent, I think he can find an adequate replacement
