On MLBTR they were reporting The Yankees turned down an offer from the Reds that would have seen the teams swap Brandon Phillips for Brett Gardner. Had the talks become more serious, Phillips would have had to waive his no-trade clause, and may have asked for more money to do so.

If thats so, maybe the Reds wanted Rasmus for Phillips, but hit a glitch

Lol what I'm in 3rd year uni and 19, I was 14 in grade 10

How's that possible? I'm 17 in grade 12... I'd be 19 3rd year. Is your birthday really soon or something? Or did you skip a grade?

"BlueJays focused on at least three pitching targets. But Anthopoulos says “we’re not going to close the door on the fourth.”

Shark, Price, Danks and Floyd?

They are focused on 4 targets. That doesn't mean they are going to trade for all 4.

What did you do to your picture? I don't recognize you anymore...

3 way deal with KC, Mariners and Jays? Involving Ackley, Franklin, Butler, Rasmus Smoak/Montero?

Something like

Royals: Ackley/Franklin + Smoak/Montero +?

Jays: Butler + Ackley/Franklin

Mariners: Rasmus +?

I think Lind would be a perfect fit in Seatle. Give us Franklin or Miller and just stick Lind in LF.

Lind in LF, Thames in RF

What could go wrong? :)

My gf's friend is 19 and has been dating a 30 year old bartender who lives in a basement suite and in a metal band, for over a year now.

She's obviously not in wallet-seeking mode yet. Wait a few years when her looks start to fade and the baby-rabies kicks in, then she'll be chasing the schlubby 30-somethings on $80k+.

Some of these bartenders pull in that kind of money but are too stupid to realize how to manage it.

Most people spend every cent they make, and then some, no matter what their salary is. One of the girls I'm juggling right now has a good career and 2 side cash jobs and she's still broke and in debt because she's a retail addict.

Yeah that's true. It amazes me when I see people who make more than I do, yet have incredible amounts of debt. Most people live beyond their means. It's amazing on how much less you can get by on if you actually budget things out. Oh well, their problem, not mine.

Thames went to Korea I believe.

Oh my goodness he prolly has to fend off hordes of cute Korean chicks with a sharp stick every day.

Tall athletic black man who plays pro sports for a living in Korea? This man is living the dream. Prolly has to shower in bleach using a scouring pad to get the stink of pussy off him every night.

My one roommate makes about 10 grand more a year than I do and I still have more money left over every month even after buying a brand new car. There is absolutely no budgeting on her part, and after talking to a lot of people around my age (26), it's really not uncommon. It blows my mind.

Personal choice I guess. I've always been of the mindset to put a little away each month.

I'm 14

You haven't been born yet.

The closest you've been to a wet pussy was when you were born but...........if you were born via cesarean, then, you've never seen one (Sorry for my rudeness)

With love and affection, your troglodyte 3rd-world friend.

I guess it just depends on how you're brought up. I love having a good time, but my days of dropping $100 a night on a night out are behind me. I always try to put away $200 a month just because.
