GD Old-Timey Member Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Steamer projections are nice. Labourt could post nearly a win already haha. Need to check out the top 10 list now though.

flafson Verified Member Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 According to that list, we pretty much have no farm if we trade Sanchez or Stroman.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 According to that list, we pretty much have no farm if we trade Sanchez or Stroman. Not at all. There's some good talent besides Sanchez and Stroman.
theblujay Verified Member Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 So Stroman is projected for 2.2 WAR as a rookie. And you guys want to trade him for Samardjajiziaaia...
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted December 3, 2013 Author Posted December 3, 2013 So Stroman is projected for 2.2 WAR as a rookie. And you guys want to trade him for Samardjajiziaaia... I actually don't think anyone wants that...

theblujay Verified Member Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 I actually don't think anyone wants that... I hope not. I think it would be a big mistake
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 So Stroman is projected for 2.2 WAR as a rookie. And you guys want to trade him for Samardjajiziaaia... No. I want a FA starter and keep Stroman and Sanchez.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 I actually don't think anyone wants that... I have said time and time again that I highly doubt Stroman is traded. He addresses a significant need for this team in a contending year and will be at league minimum. Only way AA moves him is if we're getting David Price. As for Sanchez, well I think he never makes the bigs in a Jays uniform.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 lol I don't understand Canadian jokes. esque?------ Explain me
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2013 Author Posted December 4, 2013 I don't understand Canadian jokes. esque?------ Explain me It's just another way of expressing one thing being like another... For example, if you were comparing one player to another similar player you might say that a guy who strikes out a ton, never walks, is s***** at defense and has a massive inflated ego is Arencibia-esque

z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Excellent explanation very JFaS-esque lol... actually 'esque' is a french type joke (and not even a joke at that )
JugglingPitches Verified Member Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Stroman is going to have an ego problem, guaranteed. But if he can keep that in check he'll be a good late innings relief guy...possible future closer.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Stroman is going to have an ego problem, guaranteed. But if he can keep that in check he'll be a good late innings relief guy...possible future closer. What the f*** are you talking about?
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Stroman is going to have an ego problem, guaranteed. But if he can keep that in check he'll be a good late innings relief guy...possible future closer. 98% of athletes have an ego problem... Your point? All I care about is his ability to pitch.
JugglingPitches Verified Member Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Someone with an ego-problem doesn't think about paying off their mother's mortgage as the first thing when they come across a lot of money. Nice stupid, baseless and shallow analysis, professor. Talk to me in 2-3 years and we will see. JPA was a charitable guy too but I don't think you'd argue he had a massive ego that got in the way of his development. Don't assume my claim is baseless. I've watched him pitch, seen his interviews, and even met the man once. Not to mention I evaluate attitude and behavior for a living. He has an attitude, currently disguised as "swagger"...but it will come out eventually. His attitude is similar to that of Fernando Rodney. You might want a guy like Rodney on your team based on his ability, and I wouldn't argue with that...but he has a massive ego nonetheless and when he struggles you will see him clash with management.
