I don't know how to post tweets, but Jason Parks today:

I think I’d rather have the #Jays #11-20 prospects than the #1-10 prospects of several orgs. The short-season arms are ridiculous.

I guess thats what happens when you only draft pitchers.

I've learned over the past few years following prospects heavily, that proximity to the majors is a real thing. I simply can't agree with Parks here, I love the praise on the guys the Jays have, but really, most of these guys are 4 years away at best.

At least it shows that there's validity to the notion that the Jays low minors currently look better than a lot of other team's low minor. A lot of people said as much on this board but since it really seems easy to wishcast on players that are really far away, I openly wondered if that was really the case. This lends legitimacy to the claim.

Most people agree with you but what do you feel is a better system

A) Team has one elite talent in AA (pitcher or position player) + three prospects ranging from B+ to B- at AAA, High A, LowA

or

B) One borderline elite Talent at AA + Team has 6 or 7 prospects raging from A- to B- at High A and Low A

I would take "B)". Prospects are like playing the lottery, the more tickets you have the better chance you have of getting something good.
