Laika Community Moderator Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Prediction: kirksaw will pop up out of nowhere and make a prediction that Kenny Wilson will be a September call up in 2014
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 instant replay... interesting.
Laika Community Moderator Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 lol @ how well instant replay just worked
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 lol @ how well instant replay just worked how many challenges per team next year? 5 hour ball games?
TheHurl Site Manager Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Burns has learned the Jays walk to first before the umps call...it's good to see consistency within an org
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 I heard he's rule 5 eligible this year?? Worthy of a 40 man spot? na.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Was that the first replay overturning in organized baseball history? not sure if any other league uses it so I'd guess it was. Quick hands for Hansen...that wasn't a horrible pitch by Hutch
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 how many challenges per team next year? 5 hour ball games? Doubt it. It'll probably take about the same amount of time as a manager going nuts after a bad call currently does.
Pete_7 Verified Member Posted November 7, 2013 Author Posted November 7, 2013 Stroman may pitch later on as well
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Doubt it. It'll probably take about the same amount of time as a manager going nuts after a bad call currently does. who will be the first manager to get tossed for arguing with the camera? lol you know it's gonna happen.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Ramsey a true Cards.......Maybe the next Allen Craig.
Laika Community Moderator Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Hutch is fooling nobody. Or maybe he's just getting BABIP'd. Nobody knows! Looks like he's hitting his corners, but he's certainly not throwing 93/94 like he did for that spurt in the big leagues. Looks like 88-91.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Na for rule 5 eligibility or for 40 man roster spot? Na for 40 man.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 lol @ a double instant replay. Good thing they're testing this thing. I can see some gamesmanship happening late in games when teams haven't used their appeals

Or maybe he's just not being measured by the juiced gun at the RC.
Laika Community Moderator Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Or maybe he's just not being measured by the juiced gun at the RC. I think it was in KC actually where I remember him throwing hardest. Or maybe that was his first game in KC... Actually I have no idea. Surely there are figures out there for how hot or cold different stadium guns are.
Nox Verified Member Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Or maybe he's just not being measured by the juiced gun at the RC. The gun at RC is actually hooked up to pitchFX. Other sources (those with access to Trackman data) have confirmed he had starts that year where he was sitting 94/95. Touching 97 even.

DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Meh.....I wouldn't worry until ST, actually I wouldn't worry until the last 2 weeks in ST. I didn't watch the first but the feed I had showed him 91-94mph with his FB. I didn't see a FB in the 80's but again I didn't see the first inning. He wasn't hitting his spots at all and his off-speed stuff wasn't foolng anyone in teh second. Definitely didn't look as sharp as he was in his brief MLB stint.
Laika Community Moderator Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 KC's radar gun is one of the most juiced in the league, isn't it? I have no clue. I misremembered anyway, KC was his 2012 debut, not the starts where he was throwing 94. I think those were towards the end of his stint.
