That list seems to put HUGE weight on this last season. You can make a case why the most recent season is the most important, but still seems a little off.

 

Either way, small victory for me and my DDL team with a whopping 7 players on my MiLB squad (if you include Bundy who may as well be) with and 8th with a ranking of ???

I have 8 with 4 on the HR list. But he clearly rates new draftees way to high

I gutted my farm so no surprise that I'm not in the top 75. I still landed 4 in the HR list though. I'll take that.

9 out of my 12 prospects are on that list(1 of the 3 that didn't make the list is Puig). And then I also have 3 players on my roster that are on that list.

 

So 12 "War Puigs" total on the list. With the lead Puig himself over the AB limit.

Our system is kind of in shambles. The only guys who really have a case for top-100 status are Stroman and Sanchez, and both are in the ~50 range, with Sanchez slipping fast.

If you go back to the threads from those years on the old board, you'll find plenty of fapping over guys who didn't amount to anything not just Snider. Fan bases always look for silver linings and they always find prospects to get excited about.

I didn't really talk to other fans around that time, but just to throw some names I was excited about, I had some hopes for guys like Cooper, Thigpen, Purcey, Hill, Jackson, etc.

Sure. People were really excited about Snider, Romero, Thigpen, Rosario, Fuenmayor, Patterson, Lind, Purcey, Jackson, Tolisano, Diaz, Cecil, Stewart, Ahrens, Adams, f***, even Chip Cannon.

Jesse Litsch was even something to almost get excited about.

The worst was Thigpen. People had HIGH hopes for Curtis Thigpen.

 

What kind of hopes were there? I always kind of saw him as a high average, low power catcher with solid defense but I didn't follow baseball nearly as closely.
