Who thinks Cruz would be better to wait til next year to serve it or serve it right away? I think if he waits til next year to serve it he'd end up getting less money in the FA market this year. I think he'd be better off serving right away and coming back late September. Why is A-rod being treated so harshly? Everyone else is getting 50 Games and they are trying to give him 200+ games... If I was him I'd be pissed! I think some backroom talks are going on with MLB and the Yankees, so that way they can get out from paying his salary for this year and next year. I think that's why they aren't letting him play this year yet. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2013/07/latest-on-biogenesis-1.html
Arkadium Verified Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 This is awful, we really need Melky to get suspended. On Cruz, does he have a choice? Do you mean he should appeal so he can delay the suspension? I agree on A-rod. Yanks are working with MLB to satisfy their needs. If any team has inside connections with MLB it's the Yanks.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Didn't Law say that at least one high-profile player has yet to be named? I'd be ecstatic if Cano was suspended. There were some rumors he would be, last year.
FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 I'd be ecstatic if Cano was suspended. I'm hoping for David Ortiz myself.

Cruz's relatives said that will not appeal.

ARod is saying he's going to fight any imposed suspensions, so MLB is just trying to threaten and strong-arm him into taking a deal like everyone else. It's all part of the "making it up as they go" game. MLB is trying to scare him into accepting a deal like everyone else. They're also going harder after people who have lied to and mislead them in the past, like Braun and him.

But more then the 50 other players are getting.

I seem to recall reports of A-Rod possibly using steroids since highschool. If MLB believes that he's been cheating repeatedly for years, I could understand them wanting to ban him for life.

JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 No scaring tactics, MLB is going for 100 games suspensions, they plea to it they get a deal of 50 games.
FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 BTW, I don't even care about steroids - I just want Ortiz to be suspended because I love it when Boston fans cry.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Cruz don't want to appeal (Free Agent 2014). Texas wants to Cruz appeal. maybe the extension is near.
