Notes:

MLB:

  • Nothing important to report

O's:

  • Manny Machado leads the Majors with 14 games with 3+ hits
  • Chris Davis had 33 homers so far, the most before an all star break since Bonds hit 39 before the break
  • The O's are in luck, as they held Bautista to .179 average in Camden Yards, Bautista's lowest average in an AL ballpark

Jays:

  • Buehrle has a 2.83 ERA against the O's, the lowest ERA against of his career
  • Ever since the 11 game win streak came to an end, they Jays gave it right back, going 6-11 in the last 17 games pushing them to 3 under .500
  • Bautista's in a slump going 2/18 and EE going 2/19 in the same time period

This season has been so bad I'm actually looking forward watching Machado and Davis more than watching the Jays.

For anyone who still thinks this team has any chance I think the Orioles will squash that this weekend.

I agree, I predicted a 1-5 roadtrip so they'll get swept this weekend. Of course, I hope they actually sweep the O's and get back to .500, but that's wishful thinking.

I like the Orioles... it's the Red Sox I want to see lose.

f*** all M*******s. Except for Matt Damon and Ben Affleck when they're in Kevin Smith movies.

I agree, I hate all AL East teams, but Boston, I just have a fury of hatred towards that team and city. f*** Boston

As someone who lives in the Boston area and has to deal with the fans all the time, I agree.

How many balls has Jose Reyes rifled right at fielders since he's come back?

He's been swinging at a lot of 1st pitches. I don't know if he's just anxious to start producing or if is still finding his swing. Just hopes he figured it out after the break.

Also, wow the O's hate bautista.

Someone tell bautista sometimes, the first pitch of the at bat is the best one you will get...Never seen a hitter take so many good pitches to hit... Pitchers must see he almost always take the first pitch and throw one over.

Reyes is not taking many pitches at all for a lead-off guy.

Everyone pitching JB outside, he never goes the other way just pops it up or rolls over it.

Reyes also making better contact though. Hard hit balls in play all the time.

Yes this is true. Still, I like teams that work pitchers and this team just isn't it, it's why they are so streaky. They explode score a bunch or just go quiet too often. Reyes at least is more consistent.
