So are we all on board with a Ross deal now?

 

Need someone to replace Hansborough desperately. Trying to be realistic here.. Ross for Tyler Zeller straight up? Rudy Gobert? Luis Scola? I know Masai was going after Dieng but that's probably not going to happen.

Lol Gobert, that would be such a haul for us. That guy wouldn't be dealt unless it's for a premium.

 

I don't think we are title contenders, so trading Ross right now makes no sense imo. His value is at it's lowest of his career.

 

If anyone here wanted to move Ross for Scola, I don't even know how to respond to that...

lol I was just spitballing but if the Pacers throw in something else useful + Scola for Ross (emphasis on somthing else useful) I would do it. Solid defender, extra salary comes off the books one year earlier, and laugh all you want but vetrin presents does play a factor in the playoffs.

 

Ross sucks and he clearly has no intention of getting better. Cut and run.

I dunno man. If we had Ross of last season right now I don't think everyone is calling for his head, he clearly has the ability to be a decent to good defender with a quality 3 point shot. That's a useful player in the league that does carry value

He's like the same player from last year! He's shown zero improvement and also shows zero desire to improve on his weaknesses.

 

I'm not sure where this myth about him being a good defender last year came from. He was basically a neutral defender.

 

We have holes and he's the most obvious trade chip (doubt they trade Lou).

He was much better or at least noticeably better at man-to-man defense last year. He never looked to be really soft, but now it really does seem like he purposely avoids contact, maybe it's something mental, but I'm no sports psychologist.

 

The lack of improvement is definitely a concern, but even last year's Ross was a better player than this year's. Maybe this just isn't the right team or the right coaching staff, but I really do believe that there's room for him to grow.

100%. Trading him at this point for a backup big man at his lowest value seems like very poor asset management. Cannot see Masai making a move like that

A move like that is still better than giving him a contract in the off-season.

 

Edit: Nvm I thought he was going to be a RFA this offseason but it's the next.

I'm still pissed that I dropped him earlier in the year in the dynasty league. Dude has a 7'9" wingspan.... the f***!?! he's gonna put up 5 blocks a game when he learns to use it

DIdn't MLSE spend a small fortune on the design team for these unis? I mean I could design a better looking uni for free and so would anybody in a grade 12 art class.

These are not even the final ones.

 

"Our source told us these mockups were close but not *exactly* the design of the new look (jersey/shorts striping and the team/player font were two things which weren't 100% right, but again, it's close for something this early) - the big things to note here as being accurate are the colours of the uniforms and the placement of the logo on the front below player numbers."

I'm glad that they didn't f*** the jerseys up too bad and that the new logo will look very good on a hat and/or hoodie. With some minor adjustments (get rid of those f***in stripes), the jersey could be an area of minor improvement.
