immature Verified Member Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 JV didn't get one play run for him in the post yesterday. The offensive gameplan is flawed. They're just freestyling/chucking right now. The ball movement was much better yesterday vs the Miami game but it's just basically a bunch of quick passes on the perimeter with nothing going inside. Yeah I agree. And JVs confidence is also affected by it. Every time he misses a shot he's down on himself. His potential is so obvious but it just seems like he can't achieve it through bad coaching . I wish Casey or whoever would just say "if you are within this range and wide open shoot , within this range post up and for god sake no more pump fakes". Instead his whole game is high screen roles in which he also isn't used properly since half the time he rolls off and is open with good post position but still gets looked off. We need a coach desperately.

Before leaving early yesterday he was averaging 14/9 with 1.7 BPG in 25 minutes. Get it together, Dwane.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 SSS alert obviously but all of his per 36 numbers are way above his career averages early on (aside from shooting %). He'd clearly be a fringe allstar if he was on the proper development path. Casey seems to be fine with just using him as a defense-first/rebounding type of guy. Unless he comes out and hits his first five shots in a row while grabbing like ten boards in the first.. he has zero chance of getting near 35 minutes.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 JV is doubtful for tonight and Amir is out. This is going to be a very tough game to win.
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 JV is doubtful for tonight and Amir is out. This is going to be a very tough game to win. Agreed! I think if we can pull this one out it will be a bonus. Would love to see some B&B tonight.

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 They still have a chance. They've been getting a ton of open shots.. Eventually they're going to fall. Might be tonight.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Would have been nice to stay in Boston for the extra two nights haha
Chappy Community Moderator Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Would have been nice to stay in Boston for the extra two nights haha s*** that would have been sweet.
immature Verified Member Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Hopefully Ross gets some touches. I want to see him attack the basket more and not settle for the 3.
43211234 Verified Member Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Over/Under for rebounds for Sullinger tonight with JV and Amir out? 16.5?
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 gonna be real tough to win tonight with both our bigs out tonight and the illustrious 4th game in 5 nights. Despite all that they are only 2 point dogs.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Do we finally see Bebe tonight? I know he might not be a very good player, but he can't be any worse than Chuck Hayes and gives us needed height on the inside.

Offence though I'd be surprised if there were fans in the stands who weren't better than Hayes.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Sullinger just walked past the defenders.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 There is zero presence on the inside, not good.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 There is zero presence on the inside, not good. Lol what do you really expect with PP and Psycho T though?
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Bring in Bebe, nothing to lose.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Amir and JV are huge losses. Defence suffers big time.
immature Verified Member Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Amir and JV are huge losses. Defence suffers big time. Yup. Its going to be a long game.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Amir and JV are huge losses. Defence suffers big time. No reason not to give Bebe a look. He was a defensive beast in the second best basketball league in the world.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Jeez this is tough to watch. These are all layups too.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Derozan is such a bad defender. Comes up with a steal every once in a while but gambles way too much and gets lost.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Horrendous effort. This is a team that simply isn't trying hard enough.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Play a f***ing 3-2 zone or something. Mix it up. This is pathetic.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Horrendous effort. This is a team that simply isn't trying hard enough. 4th game in 5 nights has something to do with it. Lets not pretend it doesn't have an effect.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 I like the move to play JJ for his defense, but he's going to get bullied by Sullinger.
