This is one way to make sure a 3rd quarter collapse doesn't matter lol.

 

The Hawks had their own second quarter collapse lol. The difference in this quarter is pretty close to the third quarter in the Knicks game.

FVV looks really good. Best net rating on the team (league for that manner). Raptors have so much depth its scary. Almost have to make a trade since they have 11 good rotation players.

 

Problem is there really isn't a star out there that's available. Maybe if OKC falls out of it and wants to trade George but I don't think they're going to take on JV's contract which would have to go the other way.

Marc Gasol is pretty unhappy at Memphis it seems, and the Raps are reportedly in on DeAndre Jordan. One of those two replacing JV would be huge for us.

Jordan is cheaper and wouldnt cost us OG so I'd probably lean that route. JV with the contract basically has no value.

 

Having 12 guys on your roster who are all rotation players is silly and a waste.

I've had this discussion with other people as well, I don't think we would trade OG in a deal for Gasol because the the team is really high on him. With that said, I'm not sure who the alternatives would be if OG wasn't part of the package, and I agree with you that acquiring Jordan is more cost effective.

The Clippers were rumoured to be asking for Middleton, Brogdon and Henson from the Bucks for Jordan. A ridiculous overpay that they won't get, but it might not be as cheap as you think to acquire him.

I read somewhere that they wanted two of Middleton, Brogden and Henson for MIL for Jordan so the equivalent would probably be Delon and Jakob. Throw in a 2nd round pick for the Clippers taking on JV. I'd probably want Siakim out there with Jordan more so than Jakob. Even if Jordan walks we won't be able to keep everyone in 2 years regardless

Yea Brogdon and Henson aren't exactly prime assets( Just like I don't consider Wright or Bebe to be, even though they can clearly ball). 50 games+ playoffs of a boardline allstar C who can keep up with this style of play shouldn't just cost you 1 interesting guy who's pretty much a lock to never sniff an all star game

I wouldn't want to trade that much for a rental. Sucks that we can't trade any 1sts until next year.

The players I wouldnt be eager to trade include OG, Poeltl, and Siakim. If we can get a good player for either Wright, Bebe and JV and a high second round pick then I say go nuts. I'd be pretty bummed as a clippers fan if we traded Jordan for that though

Agreed. Can throw in Bruno as a lottery ticket too but he's basically worth nothing at this point. If FVV instead of Delon gets you a better player I'd do it as well. Speaking of which is how does his Free Agency work this offseason? Is it like Powell where he can sign for whatever up to 4/44?

 

I'd trade JV or Ibaka with that 2nd rounder just to get rid of their contracts at this point. Ibaka is a better fit than JV but he's just no where near the player he was.

OG is such a fun player to watch, and he's only going to get better. Also pretty explosive for a guy who was only supposed to just now be getting back from injury.

Much better performance in the second half of the second quarter. If they don't collapse in the third like usual this game is easily winnable.
