Raps have an automatic loss on Wednesday vs GS with 2nd half of a B2B with Clevland meanwhile GS has 2 full days of rest. Kind of a dower since I want to see GS but it'll be a blowout.

 

Raps always play Golden State well. Wouldn't shock me if its a close game down to the final 2-3 minutes, though sucks with the way they set up the schedule which could definitely make it a blowout. Cleveland and then Golden State back to back! Who the f*** came up with that idea? They should be fired!

So LeBron James says he lost all respect for Phil Jackson after seeing an extremely critical (but seemingly true) interview where Jackson describes him using his star status to manipulate his teams to their detriment.

 

What he says he's upset about though is the use of the word 'posse' in the interview, which is apparently racist. He says to look up the word in the dictionary and that it isn't what he stands for. I was confused, so I went to dictionary.com and got this.

 

historical

a body of men, typically armed, summoned by a sheriff to enforce the law.

 

informal

a group of people who have a common characteristic, occupation, or purpose.

 

I hear the latter definition used in conversation on an irregular basis, but never in a derogatory way or in a way specific to African Americans. Can someone explain to me if this is actually offensive and why?

It was Carmello Anthony who made the comments about it, not James.

Likewise. His defense can be valuable and he can be a really good rotation player, but he kills you on offense with how many easy shots he misses.

Holy f*** Nogueira is such a frustrating defender. He leaves his man wide open half the time, makes stupid fouls all the time, doesn't box out on rebounds (he has length which saves him sometimes). He has some talent but his basketball IQ is really poor.

You can tell how raw he is. He's improved a ton from last year though so I am hopeful for his future.

It's always the same thing against LeBron's team.

 

I'm not even watching the game because of that. You just know the Raptors will be at least -5 to -10 in foul calls when playing the cavs

Very entertaining game, regardless of the outcome. I don't know wtf the refs are doing these last 30 seconds though.

 

This post describes 75% of Raptors-Cavaliers games over the last two years.

 

Although I'd usually change "last 30 seconds" to "4th quarter".
