Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Raptors will take a step back this season my gut tells me. Not a huge step, but they won't be as good.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Siakam and JV look great on the court right now. Love the energy from the bigs.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Raptors will take a step back this season my gut tells me. Not a huge step, but they won't be as good. They should still be a Top 3-4 team in the East barring injuries to any of their significant players. A lot of teams in the East did improve this offseason, though Grange on T&S made a good point how in basketball sometimes it takes time for teams to adjust when there is a lot of turnover, whereas the Raps are coming back with the same core (with minor changes to the roster). Raps only had Carroll for 26 games last regular season, so having him healthy over a full season hopefully would be a huge plus. Also, will be interesting to see what Norman Powell does over a full season. Lowry is in a contract year, so I expect big numbers from him again.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 anyone have a stream?

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Tweet of the year. Remember when you said it was a Lock the Warriors were going to win LOL
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Derozan having a great start to his season. 40 points on really efficient shooting.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Remember when you said it was a Lock the Warriors were going to win LOL I think hes in an abusive relationship where she forces him to binge watch the NBA..
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Tweet of the year. Honestly.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Apparently DeMar and JV are the first teammates to ever have a 40 point and 30 point game in a season opener.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 If anyone is looking for tickets to the Raps/Cavs game, send me a PM. Will sell at season seat holder price, so cheaper than face value. Can transfer tickets online as well through my account manager.

I'll probably hit you up if you're selling at the discounted price
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 Where are the seats? I'll probably hit you up if you're selling at the discounted price Yeah they're my season seats (Sec 320, Row 6). This game is a Tier 1 game, so prices are pretty jacked up. Most games are in the $50-60 range, some even $40 depending on date/opponent. Face value my seats are $176 for todays game, though I only paid $115 as a SSH. So I'd sell them at my SSH price since I know you guys on the board.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 I'm really loving Siakam's energy and mobility on defense and on the glass. Stereotypical comparison would be to a smaller, more mobile Biyombo but less bricky hands on offense.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 (edited) Lowry was pretty bad today, not a good start to his season thus far. Patterson still can't make a 3. Regardless, it has been an excellent game, unfortunate that we won't be able to end up with the W. Poeltl was great today, shook off his first game jitters and put up an impressive performance in his second game. Derozan struggled early on, taking too many of his patented long 2s, but he really turned it around in the second half. Anyway, the team looks great early on, should be another fun season. KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 I haven't watched any games yet. What's Norman Powell up to?
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 I haven't watched any games yet. What's Norman Powell up to? Hasn't played, he only got a couple of garbage minutes in game 1. I have no idea why this is the case, it's not like Ross has rediscovered himself or anything.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Sheeeit... just watched the full replay... Lowry and Peterson s*** the bed. Great game, though.

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Fun Question: If you are starting a franchise today who do you take? You would be getting the player at the age they are at now. Curry Lebron Towns Davis Kawai For me its either Kawai or Towns.
