GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Well he's getting the max from someone. S/T for D'Angelo pls thx make me GM
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 KD just saving it for when it counts.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 I would suggest that the NBA needs instant replay for foul calls, but it's so bad that it would be a mess. Even with the reffing being bad I don't think I could tolerate that. Reviews are too long as is and that would kill any flow the game has.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Westbrook did the exact same thing against the Raps and it didn't get called during the season
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 OKC gonna win this wow. That would have been a nice bet.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Did not expect that, would laugh if OKC takes both games in Oakland
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 When was the poll put up. If it's before the Toronto/Miami series was over then people need to stop looking for problems.
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 I'd be happy enough to see that 16% of people actually think the Raptors can win it lol
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Holy f***, one thing I hate about being Canadian is the embarrassing Canadian inferiority complex. E: seems painfully clear that this poll went up before the series concluded and they simply didn't edit the choices (probably because some people who picked "other" had Miami in mind and think the Raptors don't have the same chance) and this offended dipshit didn't consider past the day he saw it. Obviously, if it was just 4 teams, they would have put the Raptors on the poll. f***ing embarrassing. I'm moving to the US.

Off topic, but this rant really reminds me of the funniest example of this I've ever seen. The "Montreal screwjob" in WWE. For those who aren't familiar, a wrestler named Bret Hart who is apparently a Canadian hero refused to lose to some other douchebag in his "hometown" of Canada in 1997, because you know, the Calgary native has such strong ties to Montreal. He has since had a stroke, cancer and his brother died in a wrestling accident and he still whines about losing his title in Canada in a scripted sport like it was the worst thing that has ever happened to him. And people still passionately talk about this s***. This is why I like having multiple Canadian teams in the NBA and MLB. Many Canadians hate our city's hockey team but when it comes to our NBA and MLB squads it suddenly turns into a fit of national pride. And both franchises push it, because $$$$ is $$$$.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Does the Mayor of a major city has nothing else better to do? Tory and Norm need to go away
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 If he had left out the obviously overconfident "we're going to win the championship" part, I would have liked it.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Great job by the mayor wasting time on this topic. Not like there other more important things he can be doing...
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Who needs a mayor with a sense of humor. I'd much rather have a dull, boring, robotic suit.

The "anti-Canada bias" whining in the playoffs last year was nauseating.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Does the Mayor of a major city has nothing else better to do? Tory and Norm need to go away It really seems like Tory never has anything better to do. Following him on Twitter is a pain. He's either in Shanghai tweeting pictures from conferences, tweeting pictures of the Raptor mascot visiting him at City Hall, tweeting pictures of him at major dinners or events etc. It's annoying as hell.

So don't follow him on Twitter? Seems pretty simple to me.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 I miss Rob Ford, he worked hard. Way harder than this Tory guy. And he'd talk to anyone, he had hookers, wrestlers, prize fighters, all manner of folk into his office. Talking and doing important stuff. He had so many things on the go, he had to hire some buddies to help. And he saved $2 billion dollars. And stopped free coffee for councillors. He was the best.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 What are the statistical odds that the Nuggets get the 1st pick and we get the 2nd pick? I want to see what astronomical events it's comparable to
