John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/14333878/san-antonio-spurs-coach-gregg-popovich-says-3-pointer-circus-sort-thing Interesting comments from Popovich.... "I still hate it," Popovich told reporters before the Spurs' 97-94 loss to the Toronto Raptors. "I'll never embrace it. I don't think it's basketball. I think it's kind of like a circus sort of thing. Why don't we have a 5-point shot? A 7-point shot? You know, where does it stop, that sort of thing."
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Pop is the GOAT. Hates the 3 point shot but still knows its one of the most efficient shots. He ran a beautiful play after a TO last night to get a wide open corner 3.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Fantastic podcast from Bomani Jones on why the NBA needs to expand courts and how Curry and co are taking advantage. http://espn.go.com/espnradio/play?id=14332233

Courtside tickets are too much money.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Wonder if there would be a way to avoid losing court side seats at the expense of the back-end lower bowl seats
GD Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Let's be real they'd still be the best
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Wonder if there would be a way to avoid losing court side seats at the expense of the back-end lower bowl seats Aren't the courtside seats based on NHL arenas? Like courtsides only start where the outline of the boards are for hockey games. It doesn't seem like you could just move everything back since the lower bowl seats are permanent.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Let's be real they'd still be the best Yeah but right now they're the greatest team of all-time. Don't mess with that. Maybe after Curry retires.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 then people will do the "Kobe only won cause Shaq," "Lebron didn't have to deal with handchecks" thing Curry can prove he can win with more fair court sizes and it will add to his legacy
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 then people will do the "Kobe only won cause Shaq," "Lebron didn't have to deal with handchecks" thing Curry can prove he can win with more fair court sizes and it will add to his legacy wtf the 3 pt line has been the same since whenever lol. And Kobe only won cause of Shaq and Pau.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 I don't think Kobe sucks but when people rank him ahead of Lebron, Duncan and Dirk it annoys me.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 He's not awful but he's from (somewhat) of the same cloth as AI
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 He's basically Derek Jeter but even then I don't think anyone ranks jeter as a top 10 baseball player of all-time.
Cyborg Verified Member Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 I don't know anything about hoops, but 14 for 14 in 3 pointers in a game seems crazy.

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 I don't know anything about hoops, but 14 for 14 in 3 pointers in a game seems crazy. who did this?
Cyborg Verified Member Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 who did this? Lol my friend told me 3 pts, it was free throws *facepalm*
Cyborg Verified Member Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Never coming in this thread again.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Lol my friend told me 3 pts, it was free throws *facepalm* Lol I was going to say that would be crazy and how had I not heard about that. Curry is still crazy though. Dude shoots 9/27 from the field. yet still manages a TS% above 55%.

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Bet there was a decent amount of money on the Bucks tonight. Second night of a back to back on the road after double overtime is about as good a chance as any to break the Warriors perfect season, even if the Bucks do suck.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Yeah. it was the back to back after 2OT. Was very likely. Wonder how they react. Apparently they're very arrogant. Will be interesting to see.

Will be interesting to see. I watched a good chunk of the game, Golden State had no gas. The short stretches they did have it going they dominated but their legs were gone about 5 minutes into the third.

Told youuuuuu
