dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 So... are we really going to keep derozan for the rest of the year? If they do he's either going to walk for nothing or sign a ridiculous extension. Although at this point you're probably not going to get much for a rental, dammit masai.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 a little early? Oh don't worry, I'll bump again later. The main points are accurate though, Carroll is a roleplayer that we tied up too much money in, DD is a volume scorer that won't carry our team or make things happen against good competition, and this team is decidedly mediocre.

My guess is Masai thinks if they can win a round in the playoffs it will make Toronto look more attractive to Free agents. At that point they can part with Derozan. If they trade Derozan and get swept first round/miss the playoffs no FA would ever consider Toronto.

Eh I doubt a 1st round playoff win would make Toronto a much more attractive FA destination. Maybe if they somehow made it into the conference final.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Is Dinger pretending to know basketball again?

Maybe if they somehow made it into the conference final. Making it to the 2nd round is a lot better than missing the playoffs lol. If they miss the playoffs no FA will even consider Toronto. I think at this point you have to do all you can to lure a Durant/Horford in FA.

I don't think Derozan is the difference between the team missing or making the playoffs.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Is Dinger pretending to know basketball again? I had the best team in the NBA fantasy league before we folded. I'm a basketball idiot savant.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Carroll has been more than solid. That contract will look great as early as the start of next year. We all knew Demar was a shitchucker though.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Carroll's been pretty bad actually, he's been hurt though.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 I had the best team in the NBA fantasy league before we folded. I'm a basketball idiot savant. lol okay. I had Kawai Lenoard, Lillard, Towns, Whiteside, Wade, Rubio, Oladipo, Korver, Terrance Jones,
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 lol okay. I had Kawai Lenoard, Lillard, Towns, Whiteside, Wade, Rubio, Oladipo, Korver, Terrance Jones, There were like 4 superteams and then everyone else
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Demar has the same usage rate in the clutch (less than 5 minutes, game within 5) that Kobe did in his ultra chucking 35 ppg year. Just awful. Thanks for declining our extension, Demar
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 lol okay. I had Kawai Lenoard, Lillard, Towns, Whiteside, Wade, Rubio, Oladipo, Korver, Terrance Jones, I had it in the bag. Cousins Drummond and Porzingis up font with George back to his top form, Porter Jr starting to show his awesomeness... it was mine for the taking
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 If only there was this much interest while the league still existed!

Just awful. Thanks for declining our extension, Demar Uh there was no extension offer. I think Masai said something like "we can't offer what he is worth until the offseason". If people thought the Ross contract was bad...
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Golden State is too good for this league. Steph is unbelievable.

SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Golden State is too good for this league. Steph is unbelievable. That game was amazing, cp3 vs steph, blake vs draymond, the pace etc. I think Draymond is my favorite player in the league
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 That game was amazing, cp3 vs steph, blake vs draymond, the pace etc. I think Draymond is my favorite player in the league CP3 played so good too. I feel bad for the guy in a way because his team has so much potential. Doc Rivers looks like a pretty bad coach and an even worse GM. His son is garbage and shouldn't even see the floor. Not to mention Crawford gets exposed and is a negative player at this point. The team is a championship contender with CP3 and Blake but when they lose so many of these type of games I think you have to start looking at Doc.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Masai was on the radio before the year started and said they wanted to offer him an extension but he wanted to test out free agency And he still didn't trade him wow.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Jamal Murray is on TSN right now.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Well I can see why James Johnson isn't getting any playing time. Disaster whenever he touches the ball.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Well I can see why James Johnson isn't getting any playing time. Disaster whenever he touches the ball. Unsurprising knee jerk is unsurprising
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 LOL at that interview. I like Eric Smith but that was Barry Davis level awkwardness.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 ron artest is still in the nba?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Oh god. JV died. Tank. Please tank.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 JV dead? Would have been a great time to have Clint Capela right about now...
