GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 "Alright guys, huddle up, only got 20 seconds. Demar, you're gonna awkwardly pump fake the inbounds about 3 times before you actually send it off. While he's doing that, Cory, you run a nice C route, get that man defense on their heels. Luis, you're gonna run a fade route and jack up an awkward 40-foot 2 hander. They'll never expect it. The rest of you, just stand there. Great job boys."
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 While the play call was predictable, it worked well. DD just happened to barely miss a shot he makes 80% of the time.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Crazy that even the Leafs are rebuilding from scratch while the raptors continue on the treadmill.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Maybe JV is too passive but how does our most efficient player consistently takes the least shots?
Swervin81 Verified Member Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Seriously, not only does Melo step on the line, but he clearly dragged his pivot foot several times. f*** NBA refs. That said... grrr... seeing Bennett out there at the 3 as opposed to just going smaller on the wings and getting Powell out there makes my blood boil. Especially since Ross is passive and lazy enough to be a small ball type.

Swervin81 Verified Member Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 time to tank, the knicks are not going to give us a good draft pick Nah. You tank once you know you're barely a playoff team heading into the season. We're stillsolidly a playoff team and a superstar away from contention in this s*** conference. Just wait for: A) Said superstar to be available via trade Tank once you become a projected bubble team There's too many s***** teams in this conference and especially division for tanking to be worth it right now.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 This draft is the type of draft you SHOULD tank in, actually. Lots of high ceiling prospects available in the top picks without a clear #1 (like yeah, Simmons, but still).

Superstars are not available via trade as often as you think and the only asset we have that's enticing is JV. You're not trading JV + a grab bag of Bruno, Noguera and Wright for a superstar lol. And technically, every mediocre team in the NBA is a superstar away from contending.

I'd say Lowry has a lot of trade value as well. Honestly, I'm fine with the team being a top 4 team in the conference that has a small chance of getting to the finals. Think Pacers of a few year ago. I just want the Raptors to get a good coach. If you do a rebuild/tank it can be 5-7 years before you even are able to compete. Even teams that tank properly like the Sixers can take 4-5 years to get an elite talent out of the draft.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Ross out indefinitely with torn ligament in his thumb. lol Too easy to make a video game joke.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Who Cares, just forces Casey to play Johnson more

If a team is going to trade a superstar, they're going to want back young players with elite potential or lottery picks not a 30 year old point guard.

Oh thought you meant overall. Could always do a 3 way trade if the opportunity presents itself.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 lol blow up this team already masai
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 team sucks *prepares to buy OVO Raptors gear*
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Corey Joseph is pretty good. I'd be comfortable if they see what they can get for Lowry and make Cojo the starter so Delon doesn't get buried. But of course, we need that 1st round win this year so that's not happening. *puke*
Travis_Snider Verified Member Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 8 points and counting aha
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Powell showing good athleticism and a nice touch around the rim.
King Old-Timey Member Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Powell showing good athleticism and a nice touch around the rim. agreed. Powell looks good out there
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 agreed. Powell looks good out there stop
