Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 raps offence is so impressive. To only have 6 TO is remarkable. The passing tonight was exceptional, and that's with Vasquez hogging the ball on all of his possessions.
labadee Verified Member Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 great fourth quarter, raps. way to go
labadee Verified Member Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 only 6 turnovers that's impressive

jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Kenneth faried would look pretty good In a raptor uniform. I vaguely remember reading they didn't see him as a building piece going forward

I think he was fortunate with that number though. There were more than a few times when a clear pass was available and he decided against it only to force a horrible shot.

I vaguely remember reading they didn't see him as a building piece going forward Yes please. After these last two games, I really think the Raptors, not unlike every team in the NBA, needs their own DeAndre Jordan or Kenneth Faried type, a guy who just absorb rebounds on both ends and at least allow you to run a PnR every now and then to throw up a lob.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Lol Detroit beat Cleveland by 20 points.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Vasquez' father is apparently ill but that gives him no excuse to play like that. What an embarrassing effort. The ball movement completely died whenever he came on the floor... He never, ever feeds JV in the post. Basically dribble teh ball for 15 seconds and look for a panic pass if he can't find a lane to the basket. It's going to get to a point where we're going to need to play Lowry 37-40 MPG because of how useless Vasquez has been.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Looks like Demar is going to be back within a week or so. He was moving well last night pre-game. Can't wait to get him back. The ASG is out of reach now so I highly doubt he comes back playing the ridiculous hero-ball he was playing pre-injury. His ability to consistently get to the line will be a great boost.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Lowry in December: 14 games 35 MPG 59% TS% 22.1 PPG 9.1 APG 4 RPG +10.2 per game Vince had some pretty fantastic months during 1999-2001 but he was playing way more minutes than Lowry and the team wasn't nearly as successful. This might've been one of the best months of basketball from a Raptor that we've ever seen.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Blatt likely getting fired: http://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=1363463&p=42144556#p42144556 It's not his fault that the expectations are WAY too high for this team. Garbage bench and zero big men... It's Lebron and a bunch of fake superstars.

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Kenneth faried would look pretty good In a raptor uniform. I vaguely remember reading they didn't see him as a building piece going forward He just signed a contract extension this year so I doubt they would move him. Even if they did decide to trade him they are going to want at Ross/JV + going back which I don't think makes us a better team. Faried is a monster on the boards but his defense isn't very good. Amir is the perfect PF for the Raps in that he is a great defender and on the offensive end makes a difference by setting great screens and getting O Reb and putbacks. He is clearly not 100% though and you wonder how much he has left in the tank since he has had a long career so far and miles on those ankles.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 The Amir from three years ago would be a great fit for this team. The Amir now can barely walk every third game. All those years covering up for Jose blow by and Primo Pasta took it's tole
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Best case scenario: we build up a massive cushion atop the east and we can give Amir a week or two off before the playoffs begin. We have a very, very soft schedule after returning back home. He should not be playing in all of these games.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Lebron is such a massive douche. I have mixed feelings about Lebron. I respect him for coming back to Cleveland and he's also a very unselfish ballplayer. This current situation is just a disaster in the making though. They simply aren't good enough and they have no idea how to integrate Love into the offense.

The ASB should do him well. Coaching staff seems to be monitoring everyone's minutes pretty well and down the stretch in late March will probably give some guys a break.

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 The Bulls are bloody scary right now. They're dismantling the Pacers, admittedly not a good team, but they aren't even breaking a sweat. Their defense is smothering.

Bulls IMO are in their own tier at the top of the east, then you can rank the next four teams in any order
GD Old-Timey Member Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Bulls Raptors/Cavaliers Wizards Hawks/Heat Imo

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 I wonder if the Cavs would have been better off trading Wiggins for Kenneth Faried instead of Love. Faried has had like 3 good games this season.
Caper Verified Member Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Faried has had like 3 good games this season. How many does Kevin Love have? Yeah.. I don't really know. I just watched him last night and he looked incredible. I hardly knew who he was before that.
