burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Greg Monroe is apparently being shopped around for a 1st round pick. Pull the trigger? Might mess up the chemistry though. I'd prefer a backup who is more comfortable coming off the bench. Monroe will probably demand a starting role. But then again it could work. Amir would basically take away Hansborough's 10-15 MPG. Gross. He's awful defensively. Him and JV on the court at the same time would be a train wreck. Amir with his injuries is still 5x better for this team than Monroe.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Monroe is basically the big man version of DeRozan from two years ago, except he's selfish. He's already pissed off in Detroit, asking him to come off the bench here in his contract year would only make it worst. I'd give Lowry 3 days before he "accidentally" breaks Monroe's leg in practice.
Art Vandelay Verified Member Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Given the way he's been playing, should Lou Williams be starting?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Given the way he's been playing, should Lou Williams be starting? More minutes / usage doesn't always equal the same production
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Given the way he's been playing, should Lou Williams be starting? If it aint broke, don't fix it. Their DRtg with Fields on the floor has been off the charts. Having the ability to bring in Lou against another second unit is deadly.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Given the way he's been playing, should Lou Williams be starting? He's great at scoring off the bench, why would you want to change that? I don't get the fascination with "x" starting. Fields is starting but he's only playing around 20 min a game. It matters more who is finishing the game than it does who is starting. Also Williams/Ross and Fields/JJ would not work as tandems.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Can't wait for tonight. I'm sure the "BROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKLYNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN" chants will be out in full effect.

labadee Verified Member Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Given the way he's been playing, should Lou Williams be starting? I wouldn't. You need good secondary scoring to be an effective team. The starting line up as it is have enough offence as it is. You want to have a bench that will be able to provide some good minutes while the starters are resting. Lou coming off the bench does that

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 If the Raps lose tonight I fully expect 50% of the casuals to hop off the bandwagon.

Theyll be right back on the bandwagon after winning a couple in a row... That said Toronto should smoke them. Brooklyn coming off a b2b and raps are 11 point favs. Funny I'm watching Tim and Side right now and they have George Stroumboulopolas on the line and they honestly talked more Raps then they did hockey.

The Raptors are the cool thing right now, band wagoners are not going to jump off after 1 regular season loss, doesn't matter who the opponent is.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Jv and Ross look flat.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Anyone watching this on ESPN?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 lol end of quarters are so f***ing predictable and s*****
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 lol end of quarters are so f***ing predictable and s***** It was decent for a while but he's missed like 6 in a row.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Raps playing like they just woke up from a nap. Offence seems off.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Anyone watching this on ESPN? I am. The colour guy is garbage, I think it's one of the Barrys. Mark Jones is cool though
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Anyone watching this on ESPN? Yep I always watch the national broadcast.
labadee Verified Member Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 don't get too excited, raps. dont kill the momentum with TOs
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Lmao, did he just try to dunk over JV and Amir? Easy there fella.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Yep I always watch the national broadcast. Jon Barry is painful to listen to. If it was JVG I would probably switch over.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Hopefully this signals the end of this ridiculous iso-ball fetish with Lou to close quarters. Run a good play and you score at a high %. Who saw that coming?
