That is so amazing, the ball at the end is absolutely f***ing brilliant.

the Raptors will send a future second-round draft pick to Utah, sources said. The deal can't be completed until the league's moratorium ends on Thursday.

 

The Jazz will send the Raptors guard Diante Garrett, who, with a $915,000 non-guaranteed deal for this season, will be waived, sources said.

The Raptors and Jazz have struck an agreement on a trade that sends Steve Novak to Utah, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports. Utah is giving up Diante Garrett and a second-round pick, and Toronto plans to waive Garrett and his non-guaranteed minimum salary after the trade is official following the July moratorium, which runs through Wednesday, Wojnarowski adds.

 

Toronto appears to be making the move to clear room beneath the projected $77MM luxury tax line to accommodate a deal Greivis Vasquez and perhaps other signings, with space tight following the team’s agreements with Kyle Lowry and Patrick Patterson.

Don't like his Amir projection (so lets get rid of that)....Assuming GV re-signs at 5M a year, Amir walks, Novak gone... we'll have around 21M of cap space.

 

Jesus... He literally just dumped the last useless contract on the books for the year after next.

It's mind-boggling how he just gets rid of deals that weigh the team down, and he even manages to get legit assets most of time...simply astonishing!

Just a rough calc that I did there but f***ing TWENTY ONE MILLION DOLLARS under the cap next year with an already-established core. Even if we re-sign Amir we'll still have like 13-14M to play with.

 

That doesn't even make sense.

I am so pumped to see who we use the MLE on. Rumor is VC will most likely be back in Dallas, hopefully that's not true but I have no idea who we will go after otherwise.

Has anyone ever bought one of those mini-packs for the Raps before? I've heard of flex packs for the Jays but haven't heard of anyone buying these.

 

Worth it? I had some luck this year getting great deals on Stubhub but I expect these deals to be fewer this year with the growing fanbase.

He's an RFA and Phoenix will match most anything reasonable. Only way they don't is if Bledsoe f***s their cap.

This is great news. The Raptors are going to own this city. This is the beginning of something special and it looks like we have just the guy to lead the charge.

This would be pretty crazy but if Lebron decides to go to Houston or some other Western conference team, the raptors have a shot at the Finals!

I know it's nice having the cap space, but if this team takes another big step in the coming season, is it a wise decision to mess with the team chemistry like that? Come 2015, this team may just be lacking the complimentary pieces, not the star.

The great thing is, we will have the flexibility to either get two really good complimentary pieces or one stud. Ujiri has done this beautifully

Has anyone been following Joel Embiid's twitter account? It's fcking hilarious. He's been trying to "recruit" Lebron via private messages on there but apparently Lebron has been "ignoring" him.. so yesterday Embiid got fed up and blocked Lebron. lol. He has some other gold on there as well.

 

 

I hope this kid has a great career. Awesome personality and seems like a genuinely good person.
